If im Stephen Ross and I was sick and tired of seeing my Billion dollar purchase not produce and I was sick and tired of hearing how inept of an owner I am and how dysfunctional my organization is my blood would start boiling. Because, after all, I am a multi billionaire who always gets what he wants.. So this is what I do... Because, I SIMPLY CAN...

I call Tom Gamble, or Eric DeCosta or whoever happens to be at the top of my wishlist.. PERSONALLY call them.. I then fly into their city and meet with them wherever they so choose. I hand them a piece of paper with what their current salary is and another piece of paper with what I will be paying them.. That number would be 4-5 times the amount of their current salary and I tell them here are the keys, take me to the super bowl. I do that BECAUSE I CAN.. Then I fly to the Bahamas and sit on the beach and laugh while reading all the articles saying "how did Miami pull it off"..

Stephen Ross is a very rich man, if he wants to win, he will win. Doesn't mean he will do that but that's certainly what I would do.

No offense but I stopped reading after I saw Tom Cable

 I think/hope he meant to say Tom Gamble.. who according to Salguero, should be coveted because he is friends with Braman :rolleyes2:

The man Harry Gamble worked for in the Eagles organization?Club owner Norman Braman.Braman, a South Florida car sales magnate, loves the Gamble family. He knows Tom Gamble very well.
Why is that a thing? Well, Braman also happens to be the chief opposition to Stephen Ross as the Dolphins owner has been seeking public funds to upgrade Sun Life Stadium. Braman has defeated Ross at practically every turn on this matter.
Although I doubt Ross has thought about this, I know that Gamble working for the Dolphins would force Braman to think long and hard about continuing to oppose a measure if it even indirectly hurts Tom Gamble.

That's what they made Gruden in DC...

I don't care how much credence you give the insect who churns out the slime, DC is a REAL Dysfunctional Team not the Dolphins

Seriously, though.... Why the hell not? I say Ross does what he needs to do to build himself a winner and have the fans on his side.. He most definitely can afford it.

Agree with throwing the cash out there, but how do we know they are the best for the job without going through the process?

Don't you think that said owner might want to actually meet said "top of wishlist" guy first prior to handing over a piece of paper with a salary 4-5 times their current, just because "he can"?? Thats just bad business and even worse organizational building.

Said owner can also go out and buy 100 Maserati's in every color of the rainbow JUST BECAUSE HE CAN, but it isn't very smart, is it?

It goes without saying that he would have to have done his proper homework prior to making such an offer. My point was that if he truly wants to get his man and shut everyone then I believe that he has the means to do so..

Money doesn't get u everything. Harbaugh wouldn't come here, Peyton either. Harbaugh is a proven winner (whiner too) and Ross should get him at all cost. H just won't come here though.

I like that Ross is seemingly looking at a bunch of good candidates. Meeting with them all is a must too if he is serious about them, it's smart, don't just go off of reputation. Gotta look at all the acorns too right?

So if that's the way it works then Jerry Jones could get the best too and win the super bowl every year too. I get what you're saying but it doesnt work like that in the real world. Any owner could that but only 1 team wins the superbowl every year.

Ozzy rules!!

I think the names are wrong. just give that amount of money to Roger Goddell and you´ll have it. look at the Ravens ;)

The Red Sox did exactly that w Billy Beane and he turned them down. Let's go through the process and may the best candidate win.
