1. Washington Redskins.
Not sure how to explain this team, other than they could surprise. Jason Campbell was 2-5 as a starter, but threw 10 TD's and 6 INT's. Clinton portis is back from injury, he was not in when campbell was in so we don't know how they will do in combination. Their defense last year was bad at best, but their secondary sustained numerous injuries, and they added depth at linebacker by signing london fletcher. They drafted another lights out safety in Landry who with Sean Taylor could make for a dead on combination. This is a team that could be a decent team in 07.

Prediction: W 21-17

2. Dallas Cowboys
Dallas is a good pick to win their devision, if not contend for a wildcard spot. Tony Romo is in his second year and terrell owens is still a pretty good receiver. julius jones and marion barber provide them with a pretty dead on running back duo. their defense last year was fairly consistent but could have been better. We all know we can expect a pretty good season from safety Roy williams and terrence newman. There are some pretty good names on their defense but some of them underachieved last season. This should be an interesting matchup.

Prediction L 27-17

3. New York Jets
New York can be explained in one word, Overachievers. That is what they were last year, hopefully the lack of talent in some areas of that team catches up to them. Pennington threw just one more touchdown then interception, yet the teams success in close games was very good. Against miami last season the jets were 2-0 against miami, in a 13-10 victory christmas and a 20-17 game earlier in the season. The newly acquired running back Thomas Jones could provide them with a running game that has been transparent since Curtis Martin was healthy. Jericho Cotchery was a bright spot in their receivers along with speedster Laveranues coles. Their Defense is anchored by former University of Miami MLB Jonathan Vilma, with dewayne robertson and shaun ellis achoring the D line. Secondary they have the up and comer Kerry Rhodes at safety and a decent veteran cornerback in andre dyson. Defense is the focus in this game so it will be a close one.

Prediction: L 17-14, another close one, this team will learn from their mistakes and win against them later in the season.

4. Oakland.
Oakland last season was just plain bad. The defense they brought to the field was one of the top in the NFL, however the offense was down right terrible. Look for the fins to exploit the young, inexperienced corners in this game which is most likely how we will score. Our Defense should have no problem against a mediocre offensive line, and an inexperienced quarterback, jamarcus russel(if he gets the start). they lost randy moss, but acquired former first round pick Mike Williams who hasn't lived up to his potential and jerry porter who didn't see the field much last season. The fins should have no problem winning this game, pulling to an even .500 to start off the year.

Prediction: W 34-10

First four games 2-2, not bad considering the struggle to win games last season.

Later in the month/beginning of next month i will do the next 4 games, houston 6-10, cleveland 4-12, new england 12-4, and new york(giants) 8-8

I think the Cowboys game is at home, and the Dolphins usually fare well at home in September - I think we'll win that game.

I like how you didnt say the Dolphins would be 4-0 and you actually thought about it from an NFL fans standpoint.

thanks, i was trying to be as unbiased as possible. I might have left a tad out on the redskins/cowboys, they are NFC and i don't know as much about them as i know about the jets or raiders

the way our seasons past have played out lately- i would be willing to go out on a limb and say we will win the games we are supposed to lose and lose the games we are supposed to win

Washington Loss
Dallas Win
Jets Win
Oakland Loss (unless oakland is just so bad we cant lose)

The more i think about it the more i think we will be 3-1 with our loss coming from the lackluster redskins

I also believe we could start the season 2-2 and 3-1 at best. Green would have to come in and just take over. Although it has been said that he knows the playbook, shouldn't we expect an adjustment period or will he just hit the ground running?

i just realized a guy posted one an hour or two before me, mods please merge with Game by Game Predictions- 07 Dolphins

All 4 of these games 'could' be winnable ... the COWBOY game being the least likely followed by the JETS.

The question will be the state of the OL .... still in transition [work in progress] .... I still maintain it will take 'til the break before they truly start to jell.

Today will agree with 2-2, but could bump up to 3-1 with improvement in the offense. This is where Green is going to help -- early in the season - by getting rid of the ball quickly and managing the game well.

It all depends on the offensive line. If the offensive line develops the chemistry early, the first 4 Miami games are all winnable. I'm confident that Trent Green and co. will all be on the same page... I'm just not sure the o-line will be ready to control games early in the year like Cam's offense did in San Diego.

It looks like 4-0 or 3-1 at the worst to me, Washington, Dallas and Oakland all look like wins to me, Washington and Oakland are not very good teams at this time, Dallas is losing the Tuna.

The most likely loss is the rivalry game at New York where the home team usually wins.

I would say 2-2 would be the worst case scenario as I see no way we lose to Washington or Oakland.

I think we go 4-0... the only game that can actually be a loss is the JIZs i mean the JETs... the Cowboys game is at home so i think we take that one because the team is going to be pumped...I agree with Mr.MiamiFins854 Jason Campbell is going to get worked... and the Oakland raiders well thats a given... I could see 4-0 (or 3-1 at the WORST only falling to the Jets)
