First real game with a new offensive coordinator, new miraculously recovered QB, and backup DB while the starter is injured. We stayed with the Super Bowl Champs for the most part the entire game, with backups. Welcome to our "awkward" games, the early ones in the season.

Believe me, there is promise this year. Pittsburgh is a tough defense, and we played pretty well considering where Miami is at in their rebuilding phase.

Very true, I think...

Everyone underestimates how much change this team has gone through. In the offseason... and even just during the last couple weeks of preseason...

I really enjoyed the game tonight, but it did have the "awkward" stop/start lack of good momentum. The guys are obviously still getting in the groove. They will find it soon, but it's too bad that parts of tonight still felt like a pre-season game.

Good post. Miami will just keep improving with all the new faces. They'll be fine. Losing to the SB champs on the road in a game no one thought Daunte would play in, with a new DB backfield, we still nearly pulled it out.

tough loss, yeah
wasted my buzz, yeah
ready to call the season over?
no.friggin.way

nice post

I am not giving up on the Dolphins. I still see us as division winners...but that is due to our schedule.

What is Pitts record without Big Ben? Not that good.

We should have taken this game and it was disappointing to see it end the way it did.

Exactly. Consisering where we were two years ago we are doing the right things. The secondary needs to step up but its just like woodsen from NFL channel said they are a new group and it will take time.
