what a year huh? his final stats for the year are pretty impressive (from nfl.com so if they are inaccurate blame them lol)

5 Int's, 24 PD's 1 Ffum and 39 tackles

tied for 6th in picks and Pd's

Don't forget Allen either!!! He had 50 tackles, 18 PDs, a forced fumble and 3 INTs (1 for TD.) I have seen a lot about Goodman, but I don't think Allen is mentioned because other teams did not go after him as much as they did Goodman. Goodman stepped up...but Allen played great all year (except a couple against the Cards...LOL.)

Goodman has been a really good player for us over the last half of the season. I think it was the Denver game where he was batting down balls all over the place making their great receiving corps look below average.

Here's to you Goody !

He's absolutely stepped up for us. I'd love to see him re-signed for next year, but I think he'll demand quite a bit of cash.

The most important stat for a DB are not interceptions I believe that comes second or third. U have to look at the percentage completion when they are thrown at, and I believe it is slightly high for goodman and a little lower for Allen but you will have to look it up.

Resign Goodman And Crowder. Then Can Play Ball Under Sparano's System....

I was calling for his head earlier in the year but he is definitely one of the reasons we are in the playoffs.

He has been playing lights out the last 5 games. I hope this isn't a trend and he has come into his own because he is slowly turning into one of the brightest spots on our defense.

i agree completely. did they play good? absolutely, but they also had me screaming at the TV a few times because they gave up big plays and easy pass defenses. we DEFINITELY have to upgrade our secondary in the offseason and/or the draft. and with our success this season (later draft choice) we should probably look for help in the offseason. either way i hope allen and goodie keep up the INT's for a couple more games so we can get to the super bowl!!!

Stats for DB's are VERY misleading. I would think Pass Deflections are a better indicator, but that all depends on the amount of times the QB is picking on a CB.

I wish we got a troy palamulu type saftey ball hawk like ed reed but hits like a train. U Get a saftey like that and it instills confidence in the corners. I know when I played corner in football we had a terrifying saftey and it allowed me to play a lot more agressive with the WR because i knew if i lost a step on a post route then the WR was dead.

Goodman isn't out of the woods yet . . . I think Goodman could play lights out for 3 games, lead our defense . . . we get to the Super Bowl and if he gets burned twice the fans would call for his head.

I like the guy, hell I liked him last year . . . despite these "stats" against him . . . I have eyes, the guy had good coverage, and now people are realizing that. We are gonna have to resign him.

That is an excellent point which brings me to mine. Goodman has had more chances for PD and INT because teams love to throw at him. Thats why completetion percentage IMO is the best indicator of a DBs skills go look at that guy for the raiders who plays CB I think his percentage is less then 30%
