I purchased Sunday Ticket last year but I was a bit disappointed to find that I really didn't need it very often and I'm seriously debating going without it this year.

There are always several games that get aired on regular TV.
For instance, I will likely see the Falcons and Panthers match-ups this year because they're local to me.
We also play one of our home games in Madrid, Spain which is likely to get aired on tv early in the AM.

There are usually several games that air in Primetime.
This now includes quite a lot: SNF, MNF, ThNF, Xmas, Thanksgiving, flexed games, Saturdays at the end of the year, etc.
So between local games, international games and the primetime stuff that everyone see, this is already ~1/3rd of the season.

Some games are garbage...for instance, once Tua went down, Dolphins games got very hard to watch pretty quickly. There's always a good chance of that happening. Miami had a full month or so of those games last season (Seahawks, Titans, Colts) and that's not including the games where it's decided before the 4th quarter (Bills in wk 2). Heck, we could also include the Browns & Jets at the end of the season when Tua sat out. That's almost half the season...Yuck!
The one thing we had going for us in '22 and '23 was that every game was worth watching (or at least something that had you excited heading in). 2024 was really the first year of truly ugly, unwatchable football. It's not worth spending on Sunday Ticket if/when the season turns into that!

There are always a few you end up missing due to other commitments anyhow. You couldn't watch these if you wanted to.
In the end, you'll watch highlights and cut-ups anyway. What you do miss will be online as soon as the game's over.
At best, Sunday Ticket will have you paying for maybe 1/3 and 1/2 of the season that isn't already available somewhere else...and that's if you're there wanting to watch it at all. So, if you're paying $300 for 8 games, that's almost $40/gm where most of that is immediately available after the fact and it's mostly commercials that you'll watch.
Is that really still worth paying for?
If you make peace with coming back to watch replays and cut-ups after the fact, it really frees up your weekend anyhow. With my schedule, it's getting more and more inconvenient to build my days off around watching TV. I watch tons of stuff but almost none of it is live anymore. It's just so inefficient.
For me, it was cool to do 2-3 times during the year, but ultimately, I found it really felt kind of boring wasting all morning waiting for the game and then suffering through a 3-hr game that was 2/3rd commercials.
I'll probably just keep spending my Sundays playing golf with a few games mixed in that I watch with friends. I have a buddy who's a big Commanders fan. He and I will probably watch that one together. I may watch the Carolina game with my friends / family here.
Aside from those, there's little point in watching by myself when I could be spending my afternoon outside having fun with friends and coming back to check in on how things went and spending my week chatting with fellow fans and viewers here.
