06/12/2002 - Randy Thomas Injured?
According to profootballtalk.com, OG Randy Thomas injured his shoulder during a practice session last week. The injury appears to be rather serious and Thomas might even require surgery. As we remember, the other starting offensive guard, Dave Szott, tore an ACL last month and is most likely out for the season.

It looks like the injury bug that plagued our offensive line last year has set up camp at the New York Jets training facilities this year.

G Dave Szott - ACL for the season
C Kevin Mawae - Shoulder surgery, expected back by training camp
T Ryan Young - expansion draft to the Houston Texans
G Kerry Jenkins - signed by the Tampa Bay Bucs

And now G Randy Thomas - Shoulder status uncertain?

Jets fans have to be concerned. Now, the will see what we went through last year. I don't care that we went 11-5, it still hindered our team all season long.

So when we SWEEP THE JETS this year. We know what their main excuse will be. ;)

I do not root for injuries, but if they have to take place, the Jet's OL is the best place to start - right Zach ;)

It's unfortunate that often the outcome of the NFL season has to do with what teams stay healthy, and what teams cope most effectively with injury.
