I know everyone is saying Douglas looks good so far etc etc but I think it's a HUGE mistake in a year we really finally want to make some noise not to sign a pro bowl G a position of need. It's reported on NFL.com he's in talks with the Jets. I don't want to hear about money/salary cap after 41 years and counting we need to do everything possible to win a championship..... Just my opinion.

The Jets can't afford him unless he lowers his asking price. I'm not even sure miami could afford what he wants

If no one will pay him what he wants he'll lower asking price eventually. With a healthy Albert he would give us one of best OL in league. That along with one of best DL excitement factor goes through the roof!!

I agree sir we need Mathis. It is make or break for the coaching staff. They need to get it done. Could be a great season just sore up the weak link

The FO/staff has determined that they don't want to be saddled with that type of contract is what it looks like. Also looks like a lot of other teams who have a need feel about the same way at this point.

His agent was in talks with the Jets and the Jets said he was asking too much. Rosenhaus was also in Miami talking with Tannenbaum yesterday so who knows if they discussed Mathis. Whether you like it or not, signing Mathis will come down to money/ salary cap.
