Well, what difference does it make at this point. That's the trade that sums up our FO in a nut shell. Anyway, from rotoworld

Dolphins placed WR Leonte Carroo on injured reserve, ending his season.

It's unclear what Carroo's injury is, but he and DT Vincent Taylor will miss Week 17, though they should have normal offseasons. Carroo, a former third-rounder in 2016, played just 144 snaps on the year while catching seven balls for 69 yards. He'd been passed on the depth chart by Jakeem Grant. Carroo will not be assured a roster spot next year after making no impact in two seasons.

Ozzy rules!!

The Dolphins are clearly just using IR to stash guys they don't plan to play the last couple of weeks. Ought to be careful with that, because if you're blatant enough about it, the League might step in and do something.

Tyreek Hill was available until the 5th round in the 2016 draft. Both he and Caroo had some character concerns (domestic) so I doubt Hill was completely off the Dolphins radar.

At this point makes no difference at all.

Our FO should have on their contract that they can never, ever again trade up for anyone

Ozzy rules!!

Notwithstanding the fact that he was overdrafted and we made a trade that made no sense at many levels, right now I don’t trust the staff in their decisionmaking on playing young players. I suspect Caroo could make some plays and not be total trash. Watch him leave and be solid elsewhere.

Carroo appears to be in contention for the Dolly Parton annual award for the Miami Dolphins Draft - biggest bust. Dion Jordan, Jamar Taylor and Dallas Thomas got the trifecta in Jeff Ireland's last Dolphin Draft. (Very difficult to repeat, Jeffrey was just on a roll that year). Besides, it's not like Leonte's injured from his spectacular performance in a game.

Read this article... Just infuriating: http://www.sun-sentinel.com/sports/...rs-receiver-leonte-carroo-20160429-story.html

Such a dumb move given that they already had 3 young starting receivers embedded ahead of him...

And it was like they were just itching to waste the following years' picks because they expected compensatory picks to cover for them.

The Dolphins were likely willing to trade away 2017 picks because the team is expecting a couple compensatory selections in that draft for losing Olivier Vernon, Lamar Miller, Rishard Matthews, Kelvin Sheppard and Derrick Shelby in free agency this year. Next season will be the first year NFL teams can trade compensatory picks.

Wouldn't it have been great to have 2 3rd round picks and 2 4th rounds picks in those drafts? What a novel ****ing idea!? Idiots.

Every time I think of that trade it really gets my blood boiling. Not only did we not need a WR but to trade up for him on top of that was dumb

Ozzy rules!!
