Allen Iverson should be dealt faster than a hand of blackjack. Quicker than one of his slashes to the basket. The NBA's regular season is over and so should be the tenacious little guard's tenure in Philadelphia.

The owner, general manager and head coach do not know how to handle a superstar of his magnitude ... or attitude. Then again, few would.

As the 76ers clean out their lockers to end the regular season, the team should do more than just thinking about taking out the trash and sweeping up. They need to clean the whole house of cards that continues to fall on their heads. And that starts with the league's premier pound-for-pound player.

Who wants that lousy excuse for a basketball player. i hate allen iverson. i fell sorry for whoever trades for him.

Although i believe the knicks could use another gaurd right?

The TWOLVES have said in public (which is tampering but who cares) they want Marbury! lol, well, these are the same people who voted in Jesse Ventura!

Kg might be on the way out also tho i think he's sick of losing. He's always saying his players never give 100% and want to win.

well he wont get either wish in NY

Ill take Iverson in NY in a NY minute. Ill take anyone willing to compete and win. If Philly is willing to take Starbucks (aka Starbury...I just like calling him starbucks cause of his massive contract) thats just an added bonus.

No Iverson is a me player. Perfect example season finale on fan night he doesn't show up until the last minute and he sits in the locker room the whole time.

KG's not going to New York. I don't know why people even bother mentioning this. What are they going to offer? Jalen Rose's expiring contract, Channing Frye and their first round picks from 2008-2015?

Starbury to the Wolves will probably happen, I think. Again, I'm not sure what the Wolves will be able to give up in return (maybe Eddie Griffin, Marcus Banks and whatever cap filler is necessary?), but it will probably happen, if only because the Starchild HAS to be shown the door, and Minny looks like the only place he'll be welcome.

There is no way KG goes to the knicks. If he leaves the Twolves it's because he wants to win and he wants his teammates to give him 100% everygames and New York is far from where he wants to go. I doubt Starbury is traded unless they get a big player in return. (which they won't) Him and Brown seem to be working out there differences and he's still a great player. Brown just needs to make him pplay team ball along with the other knicks that have big ego's to go along with thier contracts.

A swap of Iverson and Webber for Rose, Mo Taylor, Starbury and Nate Robinson would work under the cap. Obviously, in terms of talent, that's a huge disparity. But the Sixers would have to consider it:

The 76ers would clear nearly $27 million off their cap after next season, and another $19M after 2007-8 and get a chance to rebuild the team. It could be even more if they could successfully find a home for Marbury and get some expiring contracts back (after review, Minnesota is not a good destination for that, as they have no expiring contracts of note for years). Robinson could at least partially fill the void of the city's fascination with undersized, me-first point guards.

The Knicks would be able to field a lineup of Iverson and Francis in the backcourt, with Jamal Crawford as the third guard. Q Richardson, if healthy, would play the 3, backed up by Lee, and Curry, Webber and Frye would rotate in the power spots, which is not a bad idea, since they're all really injury-prone. Webber at least will pass the damn ball, and could be used as a sort of point forward. The Knicks would be arguably the worst defensive team in the NBA with that lineup, of course, but would be fun to watch. And that's all James Dolan really cares about anyway.

Well, I don't think winning has as much to do with it in this case. The Knicks simply don't have enough to make a trade for KG work. I think he'd take a ticket out of Minnesota to almost anywhere at this point. If the Knicks could put enough together, he'd likely welcome a trade to NY, even if it's a zoo right now. It's a matter of Minny getting enough talent, which they won't from the Knicks.

The Knicks will trade Starbury. They'll take 10 cents on the dollar if necessary. With his onerous contract, they won't get a lot of talent back, and they know it.
