I'd read that he was playing well in preseason. If that was true, then this cut is a little surprising.

Serious? Pick him up and pick him up now. This guy has world class talent. If this is true, it is surprising because he had been getting a decent amount of praise for being a late round rookie here in Oakland.

Also of note, every one of our draft picks made the roster. Vickerson was put on IR, but he would have made it too.
No it's mainly because Sapp and Washington are the starters, Sands is known to be a capable backup, and Kenny Smith is an underrated DT. Simply they didn't want to carry a fifth guy. They'll hope he isn't signed and goes to the P.S.
