Antonio Brown reiterates trade demand, Steelers hopeful of dealing him to NFC team

The tumult between disgruntled receiver Antonio Brown and the Steelers has only continued to grow, with Brown recently reiterating his trade demands via agent Drew Rosenhaus, sources said. Meanwhile, the Steelers continue to plan for a transition tag for running back Le'Veon Bell, who skipped all of last season, and have reached out to the agent for injured linebacker Ryan Shazier about a new one-year deal, sources said.

The latest series of negative interactions with Brown, a potential future Hall of Famer, have only served to quash the already fleeting feeling within the organization that some compromise could be reached. While a trade has long looked like the most likely outcome, several people who has been on contact with owner Art Rooney II said that ownership was in no hurry to facilitate trade talks in the event Brown might soften his stance and express contrition for his recent actions. If anything, the situation has only further deteriorated since the end of the regular season.

Wide receiver Antonio Brown asks Steelers for trade

Antonio Brown has officially requested a trade from the Pittsburgh Steelers, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter on Tuesday.

The news of Brown's trade request comes right after the Pro Bowl wide receiver tweeted a farewell to the Steelers and their fans, saying it is "time to move on and forward."

Speculation A.Brown to the 49ers???? Sounds like a good fit to me.

49ers have much to consider in potential pursuit of Antonio Brown

SANTA CLARA, Calif. -- There has been nothing subtle about the flirtation between Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown and the San Francisco 49ers. Or, better put, between various players on the Niners' roster and Brown.

Before we dive into the pros and cons of a potential union between the 49ers and Brown, let's recap the very public evidence indicating that Brown would like to be a Niner and that potential Niners teammates would like to remove the potential qualifier from the equation.

Steelers need to get rid of both Bell and Brown. As they do not need the headaches that they are getting there. Plus prepare for the future post-Big Ben era.

Raiders among 3 most interested in Antonio Brown

Both Grudens have shown interest along with Tennessee.

The three teams that have shown the most interest in wide receiver Antonio Brown to date are the Oakland Raiders, Washington Redskins and Tennessee Titans, league sources told ESPN.

Thus, the pursuit of Brown could develop into a battle between Grudens: Raiders coach Jon and Redskins coach Jay.

Other teams have had conversations with the Pittsburgh Steelers, and another could emerge. But the belief as of now is that the Raiders, Redskins and Titans are the most likely landing spots, sources said.

The Steelers' asking price started as a first-round pick and other compensation but has been reduced to a first-round pick.
