Anthony Fasano got off to a bad start this season, but he's looking forward to a strong finish.
Not only did the
Miami Dolphins' starting tight end sputter out of the statistical gate in 2009, but he also missed two games last month recovering from a hip injury.
Fasano returned to action in last Sunday's 31-14 loss to the
Bills. He caught five passes for 74 yards, re-emerging as the pass catching threat he was in 2008, when he caught 34 passes for 454 yards and tied a Dolphins record with eight touchdown receptions.
Even though his breakout game didn't result in a victory, Fasano admitted he hopes it's a sign his first-half struggles are behind him.
"There was a couple of plays in there geared to get me open, but the balls were just coming my way on routes I usually run, so it's good to have Chad [Henne] find me," Fasano said. "I wasn't producing in the stats [category], contributing catches, but we were having some success running the ball. But it's nice to contribute statistically."
