Anthony Fasano has reportedly separated himself from the rest of the Dolphins' tight ends.

Fasano has sure hands and can block, so he's been the favorite all along. Miami may have to cut David Martin and/or Justin Peelle. Sean Ryan is a good bet to make the roster because he plays special teams well. Fasano's situation isn't great, but he'll be a fantasy TE to monitor during the season.

good news, but not unexpected. cant be hard to distance yourself from martin.

i heard that martin was doing good in Practice[/q
hopefully someone who is there first hand can vouch, but the things ive read so far are more of them same inconsistent hands from him. i did see a blurb about his supposedly improved blocking, but again he was so bad last year how could he not improve?

Nobody would be hurt if they got rid of Martin. He's just another reminder of Cam and Mueller's idiocy.

agreed, id rather have peele on my roster. guy caught the ball and much better blocker than martin. now this is from a back up standpoint for sure. when either of those guys is your starter as we saw last year, your in dire need of an upgrade at te

I really like Peele and would rather have him on the roster as well. He has a solid skill set and seems to be good at everything, not great but a very reliable #2 TE.

I hope he is better than those other scrubs, I would be nervous if he wasn't.

If you consider that Parcells and Ireland drafted him in the 2nd round while in Dallas, yeah I would hope he can beat out the other guys. I expect Fasano, Peele, and Ryan to make the team and Martin will be released.

i'd rather have peele than martin also but peele makes more than martin this year i believe. i thought i read like $1.9 mil.

i'd keep peele but i'd ask him to take a paycut from 1.9 to be the backup to fasano. i think sean ryan makes it as the blocking te.

All he has to do is catch a couple balls in practive and he's beat Martin out. Martin should be cut dude was a turd last year.

Good, i loved this trade when they did it, and to hear Fasano is blowing away that scrub David Martin makes it even sweeter.

finally now we can cut that scrub david martin

I wonder if Sean Ryan can long snap. If he could, it would be great to keep Fasano, Peelle amd Ryan. Then we could release John Denney, a d-lineman who will never even sniff the rotation on the d-line. At least when we had Ed Perry he could play TE in a pinch. As valuable as a good long snapper is, it always seems like a waste to me to have a guy who solely long-snaps and doesn't play backup to another position.
