Anthony Simmons has worked out for us, Ramsey is coming in this week and we're in the Arrington box seat.

So says Len Pasquarelli

Wait a minute, last time I checked we didnt even give Arrington an offer.

Interesting. Thanks Boomer.

I only think he go after Ramsey if we fail to acquire Brees or Culpepper. As for Arrington, I thought I heard earlier today that the Giants were going to make the biggest push. What happened there?

people forget how good Ramsey was at the start of the 03 season before getting injured. Reports about LaVar are that he'd like to raise his daughter in Florida (away from the heavy media following his family would get in New York or Philly), and Saban really likes what he brings to the table.

Simmons was a really good LB for Seattle the last couple of years but was cut due to the salary cap before last season. Several teams worked him out, but he was still recovering from a knee injury so no one picked him up. When healthy, he's an above average linebacker.

I would have thought Saban would rather have Peterson. Surely, he doesn't anticipate getting both, does he?

exactly. Arrington is BIG, HUGE, Tall, fast, and a good tackler but his downside i guess is free lancing but nothing that cna't be fixed. and Simmons? just above average? no thanks unless he has upside and is young.

I could see Simmons, I feel like Ramsey and Arrington are to get Brees and Peterson's prices down...? Just a thought.

above average is better than average. He's a quick LB and would be solid (if he's healthy).

My preference for LB would be LaVar, Peterson, of W2 (Will Witherspoon)
