Has he signed anywhere yet?
I know that we all want choir boys and Bryant has had a few issues in the past, but dude is a good wr and has the potential to be worth the risk. I know he has a few games he's suspended for to start the year, but he will come cheap and is maybe better than anyone else we have right now.

Thoughts?

I think he is a FA but he isnt worth the risk, every year he has a character issue and gets suspended for a few games. Keep him away

I'd give him a chance because whats the worst that can happen? He gets suspended for some character issues and we go back to the situation we're in right now, on the other hand he could stay out of trouble and be a good compliment to our WRs corp.

I think he would be worth the risk as well. I don't thinkCameron would though.

I don't care how good of a WR you may think he is, we don't need someone who is an infraction away for a year long suspension. He already have to miss the next two games of the season to complete his four games suspension that started late last season.

Bryant pleaded earlier this month to the lesser charge of reckless driving.

Agreed.

Plus I don't think this is a position we should be trying to add depth to. I'm excited about Ginn & Hagan. I think Chambers can be an elite WR w/a better QB. And I don't think Bryant's any better then Booker or Hakim. So why don't we concentrate on the area's we're still a little shaky.

Haven't we had enough distractions with RW, McMichaels and others? Why can't we be one of those teams who's only sports headlines made are when they win a big game or make a big player move. I really hope and I tend to think that Cam and Mueller will set a standard for players that keeps them out of trouble and focused on football instead of the court room.

he is a very talented WR with a troubled past. he hasn't done anything wrong to our team so why not give him a contract loaded with incentives. that way he'll either produce and get paid, or get in trouble and not get paid very much. that way the reward could be much larger than the risk.

no....why would we sign someone that we dont need? Our WR are set.....

That sounds like a better situation than we're in right now... so we have nothing to loose... and if he does preform, we have another weapon on the offense... and our WR aren't set...because we need sum1 to replace M.Booker in his Hooveround....

he is from miami, with his family to support i think he may be ok.

We are going in the direction of youth so in the past I would see us exploring it as an option but not now with team.

Dude is 26 years old, he's better than Booker and 5 years younger. True, he has gotten in some trouble, but we could cut Booker, sign Bryant for alot cheaper...plus he's 5 years younger than Booker, shoot he's 3 years younger than Chambers.
Th risk is well worth the reward.
Think about it-Chambers,Bryant, and Ginn!

Nope. last time he was a FA he talked about how he loved the fins, but he has way too many character issues. Between throwing a towle at parcells, to getting himself a dui...and there were rumblings that he is still a Jerk and just "doesn't get it"...i'de rather we stick with who we have.

Think about this...
1) Bryant is one strike away from a one-year suspension. Haven't we had enough of this with Ricky Williams?
2) He has been released by 3 teams already in his career.
3) We might be subject to penalties (losing a draft pick) if he gets into trouble again.
