Any chance of trading down with Browns?

Philly will be the one that we end up trading with...they have the cap room and dont need to add 10 quality players to their already deep roster. they need an impact player and the only place to get Edwards or Williams is up in our area.

I just don't understand how so many people here make definitive statements: "We're not taking a QB anyway". How do you know that? No one knows that for sure, that's the point. No team can be sure of what we are doing. Saban can sit back and yell at the top of his lungs that he's not impressed by anyone at #2 and will give the pick away for peanuts (obviously he hasn't done that) but that still doesn't give any indication of who he will take IF we stay. Additionally the notion that the moment we tell Cleveland we're willing to trade down one pick, we are essentially letting them know that we're not that high on Smith is silly. Maybe we value Smith over Ronnie Brown but value Ronnie Brown + compensation from Ceveland over Smith.

Lot's of fans make definitive statements and it always drives me crazy. "Since Ricky wil never be back, we should do 'x'", "Since we're not going to take a QB at #2 ...".

It's pretty definitive when all you read and hear about is us taking a RB, namely Brown with the second pick. The only other thing was a couple days ago about braylon Edwards. Nothing has been mentioned about a QB at all except here and there on this board. However, since nothing has been said about qB, then that may be just the time we do! But as far as something being definitive, ALL we know is what we hear from the press, that's it. That along with our own feelings and opinions is why sometimes they become definitive. Sorry if it drives ya nutz, but it happens all the time tho.
