As horrible as this would be for the Dolphins IMO.

Do you think he could possible return to the SEC (perhaps Kentucky).

If this happens it would be a big step backwards.

Any thoughts or opinions?

He will be our coach for at least another year. If there is no improvement next year (which I don't see how we can get much worse), THEN he may be in the hot seat.

I think Saban is in for the long haul, and i also think it's going to be looked at in the future as the very best thing that could happen to the phins. It really perplexes me how for 6 games last year he was a genius and now i'm seeing more and more threads wanting him fired. Last year most predicted a 2-3 year rebuilding period but we caught fire, (in no small thanks to an easy schedule and an increase in confidence. Winning tends to do that...see New Orleans for an example.) I think this year, with expectations way too high and a good qb who needs probably another year of rehab for his knee, we fell back to earth. Miami masked their deficiencies last year, but we aren't able to do it this year. I think Saban is a damn good coach, i think he has some things to learn in dealing with the media and in listening to others from time to time, and he has a lot of work left to do on this team. But, I think he will do it and we have to be patient with the rebuilding process....cause whether you want to believe it or not we are rebuilding.

Saban isn't going to quit. He is not the type of coach to quit after just two seasons when he has been saying all along that this is a process and not just a one or two year quick fix. He has a five year plan to turn us into a powerhouse, and he will continue to work towards that. There is 0% chance that Saban leaves after this season. Just because Miami fans can't be patient and let the guy build his team (something all other team's fans are capable of doing) doesn't mean he will just up and quit. He is here to stay, so get used to it.

I figure he's here for the length of his contract and if he hasn't fulfilled his obligations by that time, then he might move on.

According to you, is is going to quit then

I hope he doesn't leave, you ever notice when players of coaches leave Miami, they get to their next destination and become 10x better.
