Any news on Kay-Jay?

F

FLOUNDER

I just returned from NC and we dont have a computer where we stayed.

Does anybody have updated info on Kay-Jay harris?

thanks guys!

Uh, what sort of information should we be looking for?

He took part in the rookie mini-camp/try-out camp. Beyond that there would be nothing to report. Of course other than folks coming in and/or recovering from injuries, the same could be said of anybody/everybody.

Saban made a glowing report about his progress so I expect he will be competing for the 3rd RB position.

He turned out to be a very good STs player too and that will help his cause.

I agree, Crunch. I think the he has a place on the team unless he does something unexpected. At this point, the job is probably his to lose. If he can continue to contribute on ST, he's a lock, IMO

Coach Nick was talking him up after mini-camp. My guess is that was more to do with "Life goes on after Rick" rather than Kay-Jay himself. Having said that , I hope he does make the team and is on the active roster. We need a real big back on the roster that can pound a defense when given the chance.

MiamiDolphins.com reports Miami Dolphins head coach Nick Saban said RB Kay-Jay Harris has done a really good job for the team during the offseason. Saban added, "We were really pleased with him last year in preseason. We were pleased with him all year on the practice squad. We really never had an opportunity to move him up. He's developed into a very good special teams player, he's got size, he's got speed and like you see in a lot of players who struggle maybe to understand concepts in the beginning of their career – new system, learning, being able to perform at a high level and not sure what they're doing – you see a tremendous difference between their first year to their second year because they have a lot more confidence in what they're supposed to do, how they're supposed to do it, why it's important to do it that way, and you see them start playing faster. And that's kind of what we've seen in him. We're kind of anxious to see how he responds through camp and through this exhibition season."

Id rather have him as our 3rd RB and drop Minor.

I agree. We know Minor has no shot to be a #2 back on our team. Let the new guys get a shot.

A Great team can be measured by the quality of the bottom 30% of it's players. KJ improves that %.

Appriciate it, i was in charlotte in Panthers Country..
