Those of you attending training camp, do you have any notes on rookie free agent Abram Elam? I noticed in one of the articles yesterday that he was running with the first unit at safety with Tebucky Jones out. He must have made an impression on Nick Saban during the OTA days to be placed in that situation, over guys who have been here like Yeremiah Bell.

I think Elam is going to be one you guys need to keep an eye on.

Also, where has Tony Bua been lining up in the defensive sets? There was some talk in the past that Nick Saban was going to move him to safety and that they were trying to find what sort of niche he will be able to carve out as a position player.

Bua has been at Safety and put Minor on his butt last night. Elam had done nothing to stand out from the crowd. No tipped balls or int to speak of. Ill have to look a little further, dont remember him on the first or second team.

I don't even expect him to make the 53 man roster.

Which one Bua or Elam?

Elam. I'm pulling for Bua to make this team even though it's going to be tough IMO.

In all seriousness...if he doesn;t make this team the rams should look into him. they've seen him...they need some guys like him.

I'm pulling for Elam... Bua will make the team for his STs play alone

Agreed. I wish that we would of kept Atari Bigby because he could of been a real nice player to have.

Dudes got some good size, and has working a lot on ST's. He got in the mix with the first team today. But I have been locked on the online way too much so far. Being that I love reporting on the secondary more than any group, you can be sure I'll have something more to say on him later in the week.

why? he hasn't practiced much yet and you don't know what he's looked like so far. because he raped someone? all you Ricky forgivers need to give this guy a second chance too

He didn't rape anyone, but he isn't completely innocent either...

However, from a football standpoint he is closer to the idea size and speed you want at safety. He is at 6 foot and he runs about 4.5. I told Jason Cole I think he will have the most uneventful off the field behavior this year among the troubled dolphins. I still think that.
