Anyone want to guess what the final DL will look like come season. Who are the sleepers, who is camp "fodder", who will not make it to training camp?

I am very interested to see how the D-line pans out. I dont think there will be a set line. IMO:
JT will move between DE to OLB throughout the game.
Carter will move inside and out on the line.
ROth will move between DE to OLB throughout the game.
Holliday will primarily play down end
CHester and BOwens???? who knows anymore
I know he is a OLB, but I think Seau will be doing a lot of pass rushing from that position.
But to answer the question, I think at the start of every game we will have
Taylor, Chester, Carter, Holliday on the line. (I think Timbo is done.)

Here is what I would like to see:

4-3

Taylor Holliday Carter Roth

Seau Thomas Crowder

3-4

Taylor Carter Holliday

Seau Thomas Crowder Roth

Hopefully we pick up Traylor too.

Carter and Holiday are not big enough to play inside on a 3-4

There will have to be a bigger guy playing the middle in a 3-4. Holiday and Carter are more like 3-4 defensive ends, with Carter possibly playing tackle in a 4-3 in some instances.

There will have to be a guy who steps up. With Bowens and Chester very likely sidelined, any of these guys will need to step up:

Vickerman rookie
Thompson rookie'
Romero career back-up
a free agent yet to be signed

Defensive tackle suddenly becomes the position of need this year, and highlights the failure of getting a dt last year.
