Any rookie FS whether an UDFA or not have a shot????

At the starting slot left vacant by the unfortunate injury to Louis Delmas? Any Zach Thomas like guys out there that could be a surprise and make not only the team but make a difference? it's hard for me to get a real gauge from up here in NY.
 
Second year Aikens and Thomas who has made some plays should both get a luck. I view ced Thompson as more of a developmental player.
 
I hope that they can address this issue because 27 passing TD's against will be unacceptable this year.
 
There are no potential starter options out there better than Aikens and Thomas. There's no better developmental project than Cedric Thompson. Hickey's already got this covered.
 
I imagine that the Fins will be scouring the waiver wire as well once the final cuts come down......
 
This injury just guaranteed Cedric a spot on this team. As much as I love Aikens though, I was really looking forward to the return of Delmas.
 
Michael Thomas could be much better than expected. He has had to fight to get his NFL opportunity after going undrafted and he doesn't take it for granted. He was also looking pretty good in limited opportunities until he got injured last season. I'm curious to see how he goes when given a chance. Aiken is probably the superior athlete but I expect Thomas is smarter (yes, he went to Stanford with Luck) and could be underestimated. He definitely shines in front of a camera. His enthusiasm for the team is natural and obvious. Let the best man win the position but I'm rooting for Thomas.
 
If any starter quality free safety is available before the third game, it's because of something his team knows about him that's not on the stat sheet. Avoid at all costs.
 
Aikens will get the first shot from all I've seen with Michael Thomas being next up. If things don't go well from there we'll see.
