With the exception of that late interception (did they think we'd run that time?), I thought Gus did an excellent job.

This is a man we were expecting to control the game and protect the ball.

I never envisioned this quarterback to put up Carson Palmer numbers, so his performance(s) thus far have been up to par with my expectations.

He made some quick decisions to throw the ball away, which I liked, and he threw two good deep attacks. On one the receiver fell and on the other David Boston just didn't go after it with his hands, instead waiting for it to hit his chest.

Its a shame that he had to throw 40 passes, but all in all I'm much more comfortable about our QB situation going into the 3rd Sunday than I was during the preseason.

No?

We lost. Am I supposed to be proud?

We need a new quarterback. Among other things.

i agree with that. he looks really good in both games so far. he is proving why he is are starting QB. he is the best we've had in years

Not proud, but impressed. He had a few perfect big time throws DROPPED by our crappy WR corps. If those are caught i believe we win that game and Gus looks even better. I was an AJ hugger, but I will get behind whoever is doing the job. Right now, Gus is doing all I'd ask and have no complaints.

I think Gus will do for this season. He isn't great. He isn't all that bad. He will win us some games and possibly lose us some games as well. He is clearly the starter in our current QB corps though.

If you were making a list of the segments of our team that were meeting expectations and the ones that weren't. Gus would be on the "meeting expectations" side. The segments I'm dissapointed in most are the OL and WRs.

I take back the thread I started months ago about our #1 receiving corps.

so if we would have won our QB situation would have been ok? This post doesnt make sence. I agree that he is not the future, however he is this year. I think he has done a better job then our QB's last year. no team will go undefeated and some of act as if this was the 41-14 blow out from last year. Give this squad time they are learning to work together.
