People are writing this guy off, saying he's no good. they do have a good reason. We went 1-15 with him.

I don't think we should release him. He did show some signs of being decent. We've had a history of signing these QB's who don't play well for us, and then go to other teams and play well (i.e. Sage Rosenfels, A.J. Feeley, Brian Griese.) I just have a weird suspicion that Cleo Lemon might be one of these guys if we cut him.

Bottom line is, I think we should keep him as a backup. but does anyone else think this way?

You kidding! LMAO Lemon sucked major! his passes are bad, he can't see the field. How many times did we see an open field that he could have run the ball. Lemon sucks! don't want him here. He is a flat out scrub Lmao.

honestly, he is an ok NFL QB in my thoughts. he isn't gonna ever get the job done really. if he goes to other teams and palys like Feeley or Griese, then i wont cry. Sage though, i might have to wipe a tear. Lemon, i never minded him throughout his stay in Miami due to the fact there was nobody else and he may of deen the best job out of the crew... but it is time to pack his bags and send him somewhere else. we need a change on where we going ourselves. so, lets not sign him back.

Feeley, Sage, and Griese can be summed up in one word "inconsistant" no thank you!

One thing that I've noticed is that people are saying that we didn't give AJ, Griese and Sage a chance, but those same players were getting killed by Miami Fans while they were here, much in the same way that John Beck is now being tossed to the side after only a handfull of games. Lets be patient for once and give the kid a chance.

plus our o-line thinks lemon is the better choice and i have noticed their play slack when beck came in..it is time to cut ties of lemon and let this team know that beck is our guy.

There are three plays that I just can't get out of my mind from last season. Luckily, one of them is Camarrillo's OT touchdown, I swear I will remember that play the rest of my life. Another is the play Ronnie went down while trying to tackle a guy that had intercepted another crappy pass by Lemon. The third is that 4th and goal from the 1 foot line against New England, when he basically ran out of bounds to avoid contact, when we NEEDED that score. I stood there with my mouth open, I did not know what to say, how can he have any pride? How could he take his paycheck that week?

You see, I can forgive if he throws a interception to end the game when he is giving 100%, but I will never forgive him for what he did on that play, I believe he showed us all we need to see.

I do not want to see Cleo Lemon in a dolphin uniform again..EVER.

None here for me.He played with no heart or urgency near the end....VERY LAZY! He played like he didn't care anymore.Don't get me wrong, because I'm sure that's exactly how alot of them felt. But it was pretty obvious near the end,of which guys NEVER gave up.Beck should have been left in there regardless the consequences.I feel pretty sure that Parcells and Sparano will not keep anyone around that plays the way he(Lemon)did.I sure won't miss him.

Speaking of inconsistent, I was just reading on CBS Sportsline Dolphin team page that Parcells may consider Pennington, Rex Grossman or even Daunte Culpepper. I don't know what you all think, but those names make me queasy.

I was thinking the same thing. I wanted to scream. Get some rookie who wants to win and will fight for a score. That play was lame as hell.

My cousin and I had a similar reaction to that pathetic attempt to get across the goal line. I think my cousins words were something to the effect of, take your eyes off the cheerleaders and put them on the goal line.

We were talking about just simply putting your head down, and trying to break the plane, give me a break dude. Perhaps cleo thought, that since we sucked so bad we would somehow inherit a fifth down to try again.

All signs that I have seen have this kid packing his bags. He's decent, but I've seen enough to know he isn't the answer. If your not the answer your part of the problem.

Beck gets a year to show us what hes got, than we can further evaluate his situation. I'm going to with hold judgment on beck for now, I can't give an accurate assesment after 3 career starts. Although, it didn't look good.
I guess it can only get better.

We're going to need a veteran QB and Pennington would be a good option. He has some injury concerns and he doesn't have a rocket for an arm, but he makes the throws that he needs to and finds a way to win. Plus there is the Parcells linkage, Tuna drafted Pennington while he was with the Jets. If he's released by NY, expect us to seriously consider him.

Enough with the second rate QB garbage that walks through the doors of Dolphin Training Facility. Sign a smart, game-managing veteran QB and give Beck a reasonable chance. Next, if unable to trade out of the number one pick, take either of the Long boys and build this franchise the right way.
As "Dolfans" we ALL need to be a LIL more PATIENT. I think we have all forgotten the meaning of patience. I dont care about ANY other teams fortunes or amazingly quick turn arounds. I CARE about my Dolphins doing this thing the RIGHT way. For once.

I don't want any retread qb's coming here.

especially when you have basically proved nothing in your entire career.

a lot of qb's out there can make the throws, but that doesn't mean they have a place here in miami.

A 31 year old qb who I think has only played 1 (one) complete regular season.
not all that intriguing to me.

what is l. coles situation in NY.. Is he still wanting a new deal. He has been pissed at us from day one for passing on him.
