We got to beat them at some point...Could this be the year we finally beat them down?

Abso-freaking-lutely. There's no reason we shouldn't have beaten them already. I posted this earlier in another thread:

Andre Johnson is a great player, no doubt about it. But our primary concern should be getting our first ever victory over the Texans. I cant remember which year it was (guys help me out here) when we lost to Texans the first game of the season. We were supposed to absolutely blow the doors off of them. David Carr had been sacked like a trillion times and we couldn't get to him once. That loss is right up there with the Monday Night debacle against the Jets and that loss to the Cheatriots in OT, when Sammy Knight and Brock Marion got burned for the TD.

slaton is coming on strong for the texans and even with a backup qb they stuck it to indy pretty good barring those two fumbles the game would've been theirs. three names we need to watch daniels, slaton, and johnson.

We stopped LT and Sproles one week the game before we stopped the pats run game and the offensive line for both is far better than the texans so stopping slaton should be fun to watch. We will have to game plan for Johnson to make sure he wont get any touches.

The BEST MATCH UP BY FAR
Jake long v mario williams if jake can keep mario away from penny and R&R the texans are in for a long day

jake played a fantastic game against NE (who i think have great DE's) so this will definitely be another exciting game to watch...

on a side note... i love this kid's progression through the year he's just manhandling people now left and right... he is definitely developing into a great LT

Just get a freaking "W" against them, please! I don;t care if it's 49-0 or 3-2 or 24-17 or whatever. This was one game before the season I circled as the ones I most want to win. We should have beat them last year and also the game in 2003 in week one. It's about time to kill their spirit and send them to 0-5.

:dolphins:If wanstach didnt go for the 2 point conversion we would have tied that game at the end in 03. Last year we should have taken the FG. But we punted.
That was a way dumb move. We can beat the steers. We have always beat ourselves when we play them. I really think we will kick thier ***.
This team is confident and ready to make some noise.

GO DOLPHINS>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>#1 :dolphins:

I'm not sure if any of you saw the press conference, but Coach Sparano made reference to something Parcells did as the Cowboy's head coach. He talked about, "don't eat the cheese", and alluded to BP putting mousetraps all over the locker room. This game has all the potential of a "trap game". Sparano also said, (and I'm paraphrasing) that he's not going to allow the guys to get too high in a win or too low in a loss. I sincerely hope that's the case, and we gameplan for them like they're 4-0 not 0-4.

Ronnie had a huge game last year against Houston and this year they are 26th against the rush allowing 8 TDs and a total of 139.8 yds against the run a game. We have Ronnie and Ricky this and the WildCat which should help if we win. I think the chance to beat them is there, but I hate playing winless team cause they want to lay a goose egg on anyone.

We will see. I dont want to jinx us. Hopefully we get the monkey of our back.

I can't stand them or their stupid name. Thank god we're not the Miami Floridians. = /

That's pretty funny, and a bit disturbing at the same time. I don't think there's any particular machismo associated with being a Floridian  (and no, that's not a stab at Floridians, I'm originally from Orlando). Then again the dolphin is exactly a fearsome creature is it?

They kill sharks, so yes. =)

Believe it or not, there was actually an ABA basketball team named the Miami Floridians.
