I mean come on, we need to establish the running game first before even trying to run the Wildcat, and Pat White rushing is a joke.

Yes,but they have to do that for a reason. The offense just isnt that good. Smoke and Mirrors. I'm sure they will put in some good showings on this year, but until they can line up and kick butt every week its smoke and mirrors time in Miami.

I like the plays but I feel like we became desperate way too early. I don't even think it was necessary to run the wildcat at any point. We needed to establish a rythm first. I think that was our biggest mistake of the day, minus the fumbles.

Yes. I'm tired of them. They're exciting, but also depressing, that we can't seem to win without them.

The worst part is we wasted a high 2nd round pick on this crap! Heaven forbid we run a conventional offense. I'm all for a power running game and two tight end sets just make it work!

I really want Henning fired. I've wanted him gone since last year. You can look at my earlier posts and see that. There's a reason why Carolina got rid of him.

I don't want him fired in week 1 though.

I went to a highschool game on Friday. They did the Wildcat and they excelled at it.

The Wildcat works sometimes. After seeing the pass that White thru down the field, where he over thru Ginn, by 10 years. I noticed a few things:
1. Ginn has world class speed. IF that play works once it will give Defense coordinators nightmares.
2. White has an incredible arm. Once he gets the feel for it and knows how to use it, the sky is the limit.
3. those who want to scrap the trick plays, keep this one thing in mind: every time a team has to prepare for Miami, they have to take time to practice for the wildcat. every wrinkle makes defending agains the dolphins that much harder.

The WC with ronnie and ricky worked great! The plays that lost this game were not really the trick plays. If you dont like the trick plays, fine! but thats not why we lost.

I would rather get our ***** handed to us in a conventional offense than have some chomo fumble 10 yds behind line of scrimmage because we are trying to "trick" somebody. Put a double TE slot and just pound the hell out of the run.

I was dissapointed on the play where we ran to FB runs in a row and the second one got stuffed wtf was up with that call

theyre fine to do once in awhile but you shouldnt go crazy with them. You should do all the fundamental stuff first tho. We need to establish a run game out of regular formations. Do play action and just keep defenses on their toes and play regular football. The wildcat was desperation last year and it worked for us to a certain degree but i doubt it'll work forever and they know that. Thats also a reason why i dont think Pat White was brought in just to be a situational wildcat player.

I think Pat White has a pretty good arm too. People cant complain he cant throw the deep ball.

The trick play is the only thing that worked today and Pennington still couldn't get it past 8 yards. That's the real issue. There was a play where Pennington just threw it away towards Ginn's side and Ginn looked just wide open.
