3rd and 9 on our own 10. wildcat pass? 3rd and 9 play action passes? do we even have a shotgun set besides the one we use to block blitzes. Our offense is terrible right now and 80 % of it's is play calling/ henning. can we please get rid of this guy?

especially when they knew they were coming with the blitzes. henne has to learn to throw the ball away. if he was in shotgun ,he would have time to do that

Well first off, I seriously doubt the Fins get rid of an OC who has helped this team achieve 30 points or more in 4 straight games . . . with pretty much a rookie QB, the worst set of WR's in the league and not much TE play at all.

Secondly, yesterday you saw a big reason why Ted Ginn MUST be on offense. He is the guy that can stretch the field and this offense needs that. If we can't stretch the field . . . then the wildcat is less effective, running game is less effective, and truth be told . . . the other WR's are less effective. I mean even as a decoy, he serves a bigger role for this offense.

Yea the playcalling is blah, but the team is built for a ball control offense and power running game . . . hopefully they realize that is possible with a guy that can stretch the field. If a team doesn't fear you downfield, they aren't going to respect your offense. This is Chad Pennington all over without Ginn.

Our play-calling is sometimes amazing and sometimes pitiful. The Jets D-Line ate up the Dolphins O-line all day. Ted Ginn and Paul and Jason Taylor bailed us out for the win. Our offense won't be that bad every week, that is why we play these teams twice a year. They get more time to learn how to shut you down.

I'm equally as worried about the play calling on Defense, I mean, why cant we ever blitz? Seems obvious to me that if you blitz the QB on 3rd or 2nd down you usually come up with a sack or at the very least a overthrown pass.

We need to be more aggressive on D, Snatches was way to comfortable back there yesterday.

the halfback pass was bad, but the first half I was leniant because we had really bad field position to start most of our drives, and the Jets blitz was on fire last night. I really didn't have many complaints yesterday, some of the plays were just poorly executed (Bess screen), some Henne missed wide open WRs (overthrew Hartline, didn'st see Bess or Polite open a couple times).

Now last week it was frustrating because we just went away from the run while we were leading, but again, Ginn had an awful game there.

Henning has had 2 really poor moments this season; second half against the Saints and the last drive of the Indy game (clock management was atrocious). And I do get tired of his inconsistency at times, and how he gets conservative when we should be agressive (end of first half when we have time and TOs left) and agressive when we should be conservative. But at the same time, 2 guys our offense relied heavily on last year are struggling (Fasano and Ginn), 2 others are out for the year (Martin and Cobbs), and another clearly is still feeling the effects from an ACL tear (Camarillo) so we are relying heavily on a 2nd year UDFA that his small (Bess), a 2nd year UDFA TE that is a big target but not a real big threat (Haynos), and a rookie (Hartline).

Sometimes the wildcat works to perfection, other times, not at all. We should have let it go early in the game, then come back to it if/when we get on a roll with a more conventional offense. It also doesn't do wonders for Henne when he has to come in on a 3rd and long play after not being on the field for the 2 plays prior.

The Jets just saw us 3 weeks ago!!! I am sure they prepared harder for this game. They are the ones that needed to make some big adjustments, not us. I expected them to play better this time around and they did...but they still lost!! I am not concerned about our offense just because of yesterday' game!!
