Anyone familiar with Mike Brisiel?

I just saw that he was released from the Raiders and that he was brought in to be part of their zone blocking scheme. I wasn't sure if he would be worth looking into, but a ZB Guard that could be had for a reasonable contract should be checked out in my opinion. I just don't really know anything about him.

Well he has played under Benton in Houston, so there's a connection. He's 31 and according to PFF he's been below average across the board the last couple years. You could add him to the list of potential stop gaps that include Davin Joseph, Wade Smith and Daryn Colledge. Didn't give up any sacks last year, but still graded out negatively there. He's also highly penalized. He has consistently graded out as a quality screen blocker which would fit with Moreno and what I think this offense will try to implement more of. Can't say I've watched him, but that's what the power's that be at PFF seem to say.

Right now he'd probably be my last choice among the aforementioned guys. Apparently very injury prone, they saved $1.4m by cutting him.
