I was watching the SNF game last night and the sideline lady said she had spoke to Daunte and he said he had to hold back tears last night as he came out the tunnel. She went on to report about his knee and what he would want for Carson Palmer and if he had any advice but I thought that was great to hear about how much he loves where he is at.

I wonder how he felt after that standing ovation he received. To bad he missed that 3rd down pass to chris that place would have been going nuts.

well hes from South Florida.... What I thought was kewl was that this was the ONLY place he wanted to play!.. AWESOME!
Could you imagine.. Daunte... his passion... and just so happens the Super Bowl is where this year??? Hmmm???

BTW on a side note we screwed the pooch on passing on Ahmad Brooks. Madden said he watched film on him and said he thought he was the best prospect this year. He also played awesome.

Wasnt he born in a Miami prison? Funny how life is sometimes..

I'm glad that Miami has a top tier quarterback again ... a 3 time Pro Bowler. Hard to believe. The best QB since Marino. I bet Daunte is going to do whatever it takes to have one of his best seasons ever. He's back in his home state with his old friends and his family so I'm sure he wants to show everyone how good he's gotten since college ...maybe the best NFL QB from the state of Florida ever ...and Florida definitely has a lot of players that end up in the NFL. Daunte might be to Florida high school football players what Vince Young is to players in Texas. There's a new TV series this fall called "Friday Night Lights" that's based on the movie about Texas high school football: http://www.fridaynightlightstheseries.com/

I worked with a construction GM from Texas. He said you were thought of as a well you know if you wasn't on the bull riding team and that football players were considered ,well you know. We also got into an arguement over the oil prices which he thought was OK for people to hold out and drive prices up for if that says anything else about him.

Hadn't heard that. Lets hope he don't ever go back.

here is the story:

Culpepper, now married and with children, told The Miami Herald he wanted to wait until everything was finalized before commenting on the move. He has credited the woman who raised him -- Emma Culpepper -- for his success in life. At age 62, Emma Culpepper took 1-day-old Daunte as her own. His birth mother, Barbara Henderson, was in a Miami prison for armed robbery. Henderson asked Culpepper to take the baby, according to several published profiles.

Sounds similiar to me, but my mom left me with my grandma. Now she wants me back. The loser.
