On NFL total access, they were discussing Cleveland's QB situation. Jamie Dukes made the comment that if the Browns don't feel that either of their QBs can get the job done, they had better get on the phone and start making inquiries. He mentioned that they should call; Jacksonville for Leftwich, Atlanta for Schaub, or Miami for Daunte Culpepper. I realize that his opinion means nothing to Nick, but I found the comment interesting.

Also, yesterday on ESPN Radio (Dan Patrick Show) Dan was discussing the NFL Defensive MVP with Brian Urlacher, Dan asked Brian who he thought deserved the award and, without hesitation, he said "Jason down in Miami".
This came after a discussion between D.Patrick and a co-host debating whether it should go to Urlacher or to Shawn Merriman (typical ESPN, no mention of a Miami player). At least someone with real credibility gives JT the respect he deserves.

I heard Jamie Dukes say on 680 the fan in Atlanta this morning but I didn't pay it any real attention.

Merriman shouldn't even be concidered due to the fact that he got suspended for steroids. Its definately a toss up between Urlacher and Taylor. Maybe they could share the award? They both sure as hell deserve it!

Its definately going to go to one of those three.

Yeah i herd that on Total Access as well. I don't think he really knows too much about the Dolphins personally. If we were to just flat out cut Culpepper it would mean that Saban has seen enough of him to think that he's not capable of playing to the level that he thinks he can. Saban dosen't fold that easy which means he's going to let Culpepper heal somemore and then find out if he can still play. Not to mention the general consensus on the team is that Culpepper is the QB of the future.

Yeah, so Urlacher is having a good year. JT ALWAYS has a good year.
JT - Defensive MVP of the Decade!

If the Browns are dumb enough to trade for DC, go for it.

first off, what the hell are u talking about? DC is our long-term QB for this team...
Second, why do they even mention culpepper if he's only been here for 1 year?

Hell yes. Get our second round pick back and breath a heavy sigh of relief.

:shakeno:
You are constantly criticising DC and Saban. Why don't you tell every one who you really cheer for? You are obviously a Bills fan.

I need to see c-pep next year before i say get PACKING! but if he stinks next year . then nobody would want to give us a 2nd , so we are really in a hole..

Actually, DC hasn't (over the last 2 years) demonstrated that he could be the long term answer. It's purely hope and speculation. His salary is expected to escalate the longer he is on the roster. If Saban has any questions at all about his recovery, you trade him in a heartbeat.

Merriman? Can i say "banned"? :ban: Suspended, call it what u like.
JT hands down just like my man Urlacher said.

Is there an email to send to Dan Patrick? I'm going to give them a piece of my mind regarding not mentioning JT and even considering Merriman. Guess what, two strikes against Merriman, who I think is a fricking great player. One, steroids bust. Two, how valuable is he when they won all 4 games he was gone lol. Not too valuable huh?
