This shows you how the NFL just doesn't really pay attention to the Dolphins too much that they just take a passing look and go on. They either sleep on us or just are so biased to other teams that they don't even notice it. I don't know about anyone else but I was able to vibe that they never even notice they were making the mistake and never corrected themselves. I mean they said it repeatedly throughout the whole game. LOL.

Most commentators make some type of mistake in games, but they usually catch themselves and correct it before too long. They never even corrected themselves. LOL.

I kept on giggling every time the guy would say Ricky Brown...

They work for the Network (CBS) not the NFL but it was noticeable and as long as we are winning who cares.

yeah I had to rewind my DVR just to make sure I wasn't imagining it--it's sucks that we have the third tier announcers doing our games.

It wasnt the commentators plural. It was one guy. Harlan. And big deal. He knows its Ronnie Brown. He just goofed a couple times. Id like to see some of you call games. Its not as easy as it sounds. Not that I like Harlan, I hate his voice. But its not a big deal that he called him Ricky Brown on 2 or 3 occaisions.

I fully expected the type of coverage we are getting this year. Keep on winning and things will get better. If we make the playoffs this year, then we will have better coverage next year.

I have announced footbll, basketball and baseball games.

It does happen, hwere you mess up guys names like that. Think about you are equired especially in basketball and football to be able to say 10 different names in bball and roughly 17 (11 on D and 6 on offense) names at any givin time. It isnt easy. Especially when its Ricky and Ronnie. Both R and end in the e sound

I don`t think Harlan/Gannon are considered third tier when it comes to CBS` pecking order for announcers. Still, he screwed up at least twice on the Ricky Brown thing.

I'm pretty sure Harlan did it earlier this year as well, I remember hearing it in another game, and after hearing Harlan's voice yesterday I'm positive it was him

Kevin Harlan and Rich Gannon are what network staff call the (BBB) bottom of the barrel broadcasting team.

They are indeed terrible and insult my intelligence constantly while trying to listen to their anecdotal bull**** thats spews from their collective pieholes.

Just another of my pet peeves. The other; part time NFL officials.

Next time you all have the displeasure of listening to Rich Gannon, listen to his pronunciation of the word "offense". It comes out soundinding like, aufense or owfense.

I know I'm a bit over the top with this. Perhaps even a little anal but I'm a language major and I'm so sick and tired of networks hiring ex-jocks to do games. Most have 6th grade vocabularies or are flat out-and-out, dumber than a bag of door knobs.

I hope the next broadcast audio option to come out is the ability to turn off all dialog and allow you just to listen to the crowd and the surroundings from the game....

One of the major networks actually tried what you are suggesting, (many years back) but it wasn't an option...I think it might have been a pre-season game when there were NO broadcasters....just crowd noise. It was really lame.....

Excatly. You would never hear a commentor say Marion Jones or Felix Barber for the cowboys runnningbacks.....
