Anyone noticing a trend here?

I was posting before about Sabans "patient" Philosophy...I see us signing second tier guys as we have at decent salaries..Other teams are busting the bank and saban lays back..I like this way of dealing in free agency..If we were to jump on every guy they said we were gonna get then there would be no way of signing brees or any other qb.The few we have signed were not really mentioned much as far as us being interested in them...It might end up being the same with the qb situation? Just a thought.

i dont thik this is all "saban". let me explain..just like a few of us on here think that the pace at which Brees and Condon are working with along with Saban's QB first priority is really setting us back in terms of getting the best thats out there. who would you rather Hodge or Arrington. Now with that said Saban wont over spend for anybody and thats what i do appreciate

Well it could also be we don't have a huge amount of cap space. I will say I don't think you'll ever see Saban sign large numbers of FA like you see the Skins(every year) and Vikes or Browns this year. I wouldn't mind seeing us sign one of the LB's out there like Peterson, or Arrington. I would also like to see us sign Givens and another Olinemen.
