Anyone Remember How This Saybing Goes?

Saban was attempting to tell the media everything before they asked their questions in an effort to cover all areas with the hopes that then they wouldnt have any questions. He said something like, "My father always used to tell me, remember to close the barn door before you let the horse out." I dont think that is right, but its close to something like that. Anyone remember it or can anyone get access to that transcript? It was sometime this month, not like that helps.

Good point! You take the point of attack away, you state the facts before they can spin it there way! (Just like fessing up to the cop before he asks why he pulled ya over)

Not sure of his quote but i'm looking for it! I do believe that is Saban mentality.

He keeps control of the situation, he sets the tone.

I believe it was 'before the horse gets out' as in dictate the info before they ask for it
