Ritchie gave crap to everyone. That's just his way.

Whether it be hacking Egnew's Facebook account, whatever.

Even Tannehill wasn't immune to it. When RT was first named the starter, the 2 were at practice and Incognito said to him: "oh, you're starting this week? Don't f---it up." That could be construed as bullying and emotionally distressing, but RT just laughed it off, as he should have.

That is Cogs' way of keeping things loose. Yeah, he may be a jackass at times, but he's an equally jackass to everyone.

it's like George Carlin said: "I'm not prejudice, I hate everybody!"

I mean its like having an open office in a warehouse full of men and having a calendar full of women in bikini's for everybody to see. It's technically inappropriate, but often gets overlooked, however it ONLY TAKES ON PERSON for it to be a problem . . . and that is what is going on here.

The reported words don't look good, we can argue if they exist or not, but the reported content in the messages/voicemails look extremely damaging to a person who is being accused of bullying.

I remember him cracking on Jake Long's new hairdo on the show.

Problem is that the voicemail transcript (since the audio hasn't been released) has been doctored and the full message hasn't been revealed... because that would give the voicemail full context, and show that it was in a joking nature (not that Richie's word choice is condoned).

Richie wasn't literally saying I'm going to kill you, he was joking, {and the redacted part} finished the voicemail with
"HAHAHAHAHA. Okay, Call me back."

You don't have a voice message full of hate, and vitriol and then finish with... Hahaha Okay, Call Me Back.

In fact, Jon called him back, and Jon played the voicemail for all his teammates. They all laughed together, this including J-Mart.

I'm sure ESPN/aka Adam Shefty chose to only release the transcripts, because the audio wouldn't hammer the narrative of an attacking and demeaning tone, but the text does a great job of it = mission accomplished.

Hence, context.

This I think is about right. I've worked in 'off-color' environments before and yeah, I think that's about right.
