They started out 0-2. Couldn't block a girl scout squad, and McNabb threw three INT's with no TD's in his first two games.

Rush Limbaugh got fired from ESPN for negative McNabb remarks.

The Eagles looked as bad as we do now on offense, and they got the problems worked out.

What about the Bengals offense? Carson Palmer, and his O line looked just as bad as ours! We sacked him like three times, intercepted a pass, and Edwards dropped a GIFT that my four year old could of caught.

Do the Bengals suck?

We always start out hot, and wind up looking like jokes at the end of the year. Maybe this year things just need a bit of time.

Maybe. :shakeno:

I'd kiss your (cars) tailpipe if what you said came true

Oh yeah, I remember the Eagles of last year. I seem to remember that they were coming off two straight NFC Championship Game appearances. They opened the year 0-2 against the defending Super Bowl Champions and the team that would go on to win the the Super Bowl. Everyone knew it was just a matter of time until they got things together, which they did and made it to a third straight NFC Championship Game. Granted, they lost once they got there, but the Dolphins haven't been close to the AFC Championship Game in 10 years (unless you call losing 27-0, 62-7, and 38-3 in the divisional round close to the AFC Championship Game). So for the Eagles last year, everyone knew what they were capable of, they just needed to get things together. But no one knows if this year's Dolphins are capable of, well, anything. Guess we'll just wait and see.....

they were deep at the rb position and a team that has played together for quite sometime. You have a new OL and still no rb , plus Mcnabb's 3rd string back-up qb. I don't see you pulling the same thing.

what happened in philly wont happen here. this o-line is dreadful.

considering they have a PB QB, we need our 32-ranked OL to become a PB level to get this turned around. You cannot break a practically rookie QB in w/o a running game because you are destined to have opposing DCs blitz the heck out of you. :(

What I see with this thread is a unreal comparison and unreal optimism.I know everybody wants to win but this will not be a winning season for us but positives will come out of it like a new coach. We'll be back on top with plenty of pride next year.We need a very good draft for our future which we haven't had in a while and get some young offensive talent in here and some D lineman.Remember,Spiel put us in great position cap wise for next year so we'll have $$$$ to spend.Just suck this year up and look forward to a breath of fresh air which we haven't had in a while. No Wanny means no stress!

Feeley was really 2nd string. Only reason he was 3rd on gamedays is because Detmer is the best kick holder in the league, and you can't bring your starting QB back in if the 3rd QB steps onto the field for a play.

I do not want Bumstedt and Spielman near any personel decisions next year. Spielman has learned from Bumstedt and we all have seen the "brilliant" drafts his genius Bumstedt has had. This team is going to pay for several seasons to undo what Bumstedt and Spielman have done. The Dolphins have had cap space but the problem is that no player wants to come here to play. I sincerely hope that finally Wayne "Crap Owner" Huizinga wakes up and cleans the entire front office and coaching staff out and hire Dan Marino for president and then possibly hire Scot Pioli, Fred Savage or Randy Mueller for GM who will hire a real head coach because these gentlemen have their work cut out for them to clean up Bumstedt's and Spielman's mess.

You have got to be kidding me there is no comparison. Philly has a stud at QB, and THREE good backs last year and most of all a plan which is something we don't have right now. Plane and simple this is going to be a real bad year for the dolphins but how is it going to be corrected in the future. We don't ever seem to get any good free agents at the skill positions (boston was 50/50 to be a bust and Ricky is high in Australia) and we never use the draft wisely. A lot of other teams trade up to get a GOOD player. Instead we trade down to get more players why? The dolphins have been one or two playmakers away from being super bowl contenders each year, hopefully we start to get that one or two players in the draft or from wherever SOON.

the stud qb looked like crap last year.

After watching Philly last night I have come to realize that besides the Pats they are the most stable and deep franchise in the league.
It leaves you pissed as to why not us,a team with so much history and pride but both franchises took their lumps while we were steadily just being avg. keeping the fans happy with a 1st round playoff spot and out.
