Anyone remember this guy?

His name is Chris Jackson (no, not the guy from the the University of Florida the Patriots drafted this year). He broke all kind of records in the Arena league and a lot of fans had him pegged as the next Oronde Gadsden, because he was big (6'2, 220 lbs.) and caught everything thrown his way. We signed him right before training camp in 2003 and he did pretty much nothing before we released him.

I just ran across his name and thought "I had forgotten all about that guy!". Kind of a lesson that we need to keep things in perspective this time of year.

I remember this guy. I knew he played for the Georgia Force and he had a shot at making the Atlanta Falcons. This year Troy Bergeron who also played for the Georgia Force with Chris Jackson has a shot at making the 53 man roster or the practice squad.

I realize that. I just wanted to clear up confusion as there has been in the past like with linebacker Joey Porter and wide receiver Jerry Porter. People were referring to "the Steelers linebacker Jerry Porter".
