After 3 games, I do not and have been one of his biggest fans. Let's start with some stats.

He has been sacked 7 times, tied for #8 with 4 others.

He is ranked #17 by NFL.

He is ranked #31 by PFF.

His 5 TD's are tied with 10 others for #8 BUT, 2 were after being down 27-0 (meaningless), 1 in the 2nd Q vs Wash, and 1 each in the 2nd and 3rd Q's vs Jax.

Excuses on protection matter some but, not close to the way he has played. I refer to Phins local analyst Kimbo, who said it's not on the protection, he is making a lot of bad throws.

The belief among analyst was that RT just had to be consistent for the year to elevate him to a legit top QB but, he has not been able to even do that for a game.

I have also not seen the leadership I had hoped for.

I'm hoping the season turns around for RT, as that will mean the same for our team but, am starting to have some doubts.

I'm not seeing it so far. Had high hopes also. Hopefully the trip to England wakes him up like it did last year.

I agree... Still hoping for the best, as I really like the kid. But until he shows better pocket awareness, quicker ability to read through his progressions and a better long ball, he will be mediocre at best.

One thing I can say about Tanny, is that he has to be one of the toughest QB's in the league. No question about that.

There's no doubt this coaching regime is diligently working on ruining Ryan's career.

I still believe in the kid. But the circus he's being asked to participate in is total and absolute HOGWASH!

its tough to see improvements with the blocking.

he has missed throws though down field, he hasnt fully stepped into them and delivered... sometimes he fades away when throwing on the move instead of his body going forward towards his target (chest and follow through)

but he has been mostly accurate, making solid quick reads and decisions throughout (some post snap reads have been missed though)... him and Landry have been money all year for the most part (one Landry mistake taking his eyes off the catch led into an INT). if Stills can actually start separating with his opportunities would be helpful, Parker coming into the picture will be helpful as well.

(many drops at big moments has also killed our drives in the first three games)

He has certainly improved from year 1, but his rate of improvement has not been good enough so far, and those same issues, such as deep ball and pocket awareness are still there and show no signs of being resolved. We might have to face the fact that he may have hit his ceiling, there may not be any more in there, he's a serviceable NFL QB, which to be perfectly honest when we drafted him, was a status I never thought he would be able to attain.

With a great coaching setup and the right recruitment, we could still go places with him under centre, I just personally don't think he is ever going to be that type of QB like a Brady, Manning or even Luck that will carry a team on his back to glory. He is not the answer if we are looking for that type of QB, since we have paid him now and are tied and invested in him, we simply have to get better at coaching and recruitment.

we'll see...i think his pivot work and active feet in the pocket aren't moving as much...but it's early...i do think he's shifting more in the pocket to find space to throw though...like in his drop a lateral step or when he hitches etc he's working to more space

would like to see him continue to climb forward quickly vs wide pressure...had a really nice finish his drop and immediately power step forward vs buffalo that he threw a dart on down the middle of the field...no quick power step forward there and he's mince meat from both sides

I'm not giving up on Tannehill by any stretch of the imagination but, really expected much more so far this year. IMO, he has not made plays to help the team turn the tide for a win, which you expect from your star.

The forum picks on players like Suh, fitting in for 3 games, Wake and OV playing hurt, etc. For whatever reason, RT is getting a pass, and for me he is the biggest disappointment so far this year.

I'm stayin out of this one, but should be fun...

Put an average OL in front of him and then assess all you like. He isnt a Tom Brady and we dont have Bill Bellicheck as HC, where you can play with scrap heaps at OL and still put up 800 ppg. He has proven he can play ober and over again when he has more than 2 seconds to throw.

He has spurts when he looks like an All Pro, and then others when he looks worse than Henne (exaggeration). After 3 years, and over a year with Lazer, he should have overcome the inconsistencies that are driving everyone crazy. IMO, he has taken a step backwards, again so far.

He has improved and has room to improve more no doubt.

This is a QB league and ironically enough the league currently has a dearth of great QBs. I understand everyone here wants a Rodgers or a Brady, but it isn't that easy; just ask the other 26-27 teams at the moment. Unlike how some here believe, throwing in any other QB behind Pouncey will not provide better results. There are other, bigger issues at the moment than trying to replace Ryan.
