There's a right time and a right place for everything.
If a football forum in the dead of offseason isn't the right time for a provocative photo then I don't know what to say. Other than, it made my day just a little bit better. And that's always a good thing.

I'm using it as a screen saver..........

Dang I'm late to the party and I didn't even see the photo... guess I'll just have to come there and thoroughly inspect it for myself!

Arggggggā€¦ā€¦. Iā€™m one of the old folks here that needs a pick me up pic to get through the day. Who ever complained about the pic should be banned to Mars!!

Corrected with respect! The greatest generation.
I was being a little tongue in cheek calling him Dugout Doug. That was the disparaging handle given to him by those who thought he chose to flee from the PI on his own accord because things were looking so dire. FDR actually ordered him to head to Australia. Mac expressed his wishes to remain, but FDR was his boss and was emphatic about the importance of not having Mac taken prisoner by the Japanese. He did some good work while in Australia, devising some of the SW Pacific operations, including notably Operation Cartwheel, so it was important for the war effort that they got him out of the PI. The Japanese stronghold in the SW Pacific was Rabaul. Rather than invade it, Mac chose to bypass and isolate it, leaving them unable to get anything in or out. All the fighting strength stationed on Rabaul was left to basically whither on the vine, so to speak. They couldn't get in or out and the Allies bombed the hell out of it. Even when their food ran out, those stubborn Japanese wouldn't surrender and many starved.
I respect Mac for the most part. My favorite POTUS of all time, Truman, later fired him, so that is kind of a tough one to reconcile.

It definitely made my day too. At least as much as Harry Callahan being in full bad@ss mode.
