I don't trust or take seriously anything that dude says. I wish I had known it was Armando before I clicked.

Ahhhh an Armando articled avoided by reading a couple posts. Good stuff

You can probably get more accurate info from the National Inquirer or World News than from this hack.

So the GM search is now down to a hickey, a farmer and an x-man.

Guess they should go for the farmer, we can always use the vegetables..

Im not hung up on any candidate. I just wish Philbin was deservedly fired but hope we choose a good gm

I wouldn't have been upset with Philbin being fired...I'm not particularly upset with him being retained either.
I don't have any issue in particular with the search taking a good long time for a GM. I just hope it equates to
a complete, comprehensive search.

Exactly, I don't get this fan base. They seem to be taking their time and being methodical about whom the next GM will be and folks Complain!!! You absolutely know if they quickly hired someone, folks would be complaining that they rushed into it and should have taken their time.

He says he wasn't even considered good enough to be interviewed for the vacant GM position by Tampa, but than later says he is thought so highly of by the organization that once the new GM is hired the hopes are he stays with Tampa. Got it Armando.

Exactly. Tampa still looking also.

My latest take is pretty much akin to when Ozzie Newsome, who knew Rex best, decided to pass over the logical candidate for a ST coach from the outside. And that's if Tampa Bay, who's known Hickey for quite some time, doesn't think he's qualified to take the next step up in responsibility, then if not good enough for them then why should he be for is?????

Rest assured that the way this organization is run, they'll find a way to pick the worst candidate possible. Which is probably this guy.
