It was the end of April, 2015. The excitement was building amongst Dolphins fans. Why wouldn't it with the team owning 5 of the first 88 picks in the upcoming 2013 NFL Draft.

It's such a shame that such a promising weekend ended with a thud.

Of course, we all know the story of how we traded up in the first, leaving us with just 4 picks in the first 3 rounds, instead of 5 and ending with us picking Dion Jordan, Jamar Taylor, Dallas Thomas and Will Davis... Excuse me, while I :hsmash:

I hate doing this, because hindsight is always 50/50, but let's look at what we COULD have done with that golden opportunity to turn this franchise around:

1st round: Instead of trading down, the Dolphins take DeAndre Hopkins, WR, Clemson with the #12 overall pick.
In the 2nd (pick 42), the Dolphins take ILB, Kiko Alonso, Oregon.
With their 2nd second rounder (54 overall), the Dolphins take Eddie Lacy, RB, Alabama
With their first 3rd rounder (77th overall), instead of drafting Dallas Thomas, Miami takes Hugh Thornton, OL, Illinois
With their second 3rd rounder (88th overall), the Dolphins take Duke Williams, S

I will now curl up into the fetal position, where I shall remain until this weekend is over...

Hindsight Is 20/20, Foresight Is 50/50  .. moving on it sucks but nothing we can do but hope Hickey and Tannenbaum continue to fix issues.

On paper in 2013 the draft you suggest is probably garbage.

yeah five years. how much for other teams? got QB?
