As we enter week number 3 of the Head Coach search a look at where the team is and where they are headed has me asking are they undecided?

Jeff Fisher was the obvious top priority, he is a Ram now, so who takes the lead?, its rumored Mike Zimmer however he's had an interview and is scheduled to be interviewing with Tampa mon or tue, if Miami truly does view Zimmer as its top candidate why allow him to interview with TB and possibly be offered the Bucs job on the spot?
My guess Miami's is either "not" overwhelmed by Zimmer or they like other candidates equally and are ok with other teams making their choice for them.

If Zimmer is not considered the top choice as speculated, then who? all the interviewed candidates are free to be signed now, so having guys come back for second interviews should be a speedy process, yet as of today we have only heard that Zimmer is coming back for a second interview.

For the teams sake I hope Zimmers second interview takes place before the Tampa interview, I have a feeling he would fit Tampa perfectly.

I have no real preferrence at this point, my hope was Carmichael Jr. or Chudzinski, im not getting a sense miami is interested in either, so of the candidates I like the quality of "leader" and the ability to schematically game plan that Zimmer offers, over the known qualitys that Philbin, Toub, or Bowles offer.

I just dont get a strong sense that miami is clear on the path they want, Im not posting this to be critical, Im not knocking them for the the length of time its taken to replace Sparano or claiming they dont know what they are doing.

I simply feel that they are having a difficult time seperating the candidates( which I perceive as a positive ), therefore leaving me to feel they are undecided.

Why wouldn't you want to interview all of the potential candidates before making your final choice?

My guess is there is still candidates they want to interview but there teams are still in the playoffs. Example being Chuck Pagano of the Ravens

I'm ready for this all to end. The rampant speculation and conspiracy theories have worn out their welcome. I'm ready for this organization to make a decision so we can all move forward and the team can prepare for free agency and the draft.

I figured with McCoy and Carmichael Jr. becoming available, this would help us expedite this process. I'm all for inteviewing and making sure, but other teams are going to snatch up every decent candidate if we take too long. Let's figure it out, make the offer and move on with putting together the rest of the coaching staff.

Preparation for free agency and the draft is happening, independent of the HC, as it should. That's what your personnel department and GM are for. One of the benefits of keeping Ireland is that it allows that process to go on.

There are no practices or OTA's for us right now; rushing to select a coach doesn't accomplish anything, other than appeasing an impatient fan base, who will be quick to complain if the new coach isn't successful. Better to let them do their due diligence and make the best choice. Marino said this am on the radio, They've been patient, so stay patient now.

I'm not certain why anyone considers the Phins as being patient when they hit the ground running with Fisher... They wanted him from the jump... I don't think 'patience' is a factor at all... There's just not a lot to choose from...

In fact I'm betting Ross is livid that NONE of these guys will make the 'splash' he would want... NONE of these guys have much sizzle at all... or HC experience for that matter... I think the Phins are stuck shopping in the bargain bin and have nobody but themselves to thank for it.
