i believe with the depth we have in the front seven we will have a top 5 defense, our front 7 will make our secondary look very good, i think we will lead the league in sacks this year, with porter, jt, wake, langford, leading the way

Sounds like 2 years ago when I registered and we went 1-15..Everyone was saying 10-6 and all this junk.. So funny.. Our D looks average at best IMO. A few good LB's and.. that's it. Safties are average and our DB's are going to have rookie mistakes.

Hypothetically we may be, but the statistics at the end of the year won't reflect it. Our schedule will make our defense look worse than it is...

New England (2 games), Atlanta, SD, Indianapolis, New Orleans, Carolina, Tennessee, Houston, Pittsburgh...

Teams like the Chargers, Raiders, Chiefs, Niners, etc... may end up statistically better do to weaker schedules.

Our pass defense was at the bottom last season, although theoretically we've upgraded how much better will the secondary perform ?? The pass rush besides JP was pretty poor.

And if you want to talk about age, well that applies to some of our key players, JT, Ferg, Porter as well.

good point but look at the giants when they won the super bowl, there front 7 made the secondary look good

Ya know what. I definitely think our Defense will be very good this year. I definitely see top 10, top 5 not sure yet. The defenses I see as better than ours is Ravens, Steelers, Titans, Giants, Vikings, Eagles, Bears. I also think the Packers will surprise alot of people and turn out to be a very good, top 10 defense. So I'd say right now, we're about 7-8th imo.
