In particular when it comes to keeping up with the Jets and Pats the feeling is that we are just trying to remain competitive, that according to the Colin Cowhard show on ESPN radio this morning.........The Dolphins always seem to tread water but never lead the way and break away from the pack was the vibe of the conversation. Anybody else hear this????? Maybe I am misinterpreting it???

1. Never take what a tool like Colin Cowheard says as fact. He can be entertaining, but he is a clown at times.

But to answer your question, yes and no. We are making moves to be competitive. Between drafting Gates and Clay, as well as trading for Bush we are trying to get faster on offense. As a lot of people pointed out, our biggest issues we've had for a long time has been lack of explosiveness on offense. Getting Marshall gave us a go-to guy, but his strength isn't his deep threat ability, he's best at taking a short to mid range pass and make a play. Bess is similar in the sense that he can get YAC, but he is not a homerun threat. Ronnie and Ricky also lost their homerun ability.

So in short, we are fixing weaknesses... or atleast attempting to
