I'll qualify my Yes as to say that I worry about Bates being able to put the best D plan in to beat the Rams since we have a better team but still get out-coached when it comes to their O vs. our D.

I don't think they're better, but I think they intimidate teams, and thus have a psycological edge..only the teams who play them twice a year weren't so intimidated..They mix up they O calls motion and sets that really take advantage of D's weaknesses. The Pats were great at mixing their D to keep the RAMs O thinking. Usually it's the Rams exploiting the D. But when you play them you do have to hide your D schemes and not let them know what you're doing..We were way too perdictable when we played them last year and they exploited us. Both O and D -fensively. Norv O should give their D more to think about and keep the O on the field loner. Our D will have to think of new formations to do the same that they do but not let the other team know all the time.

Right now, are we better than the Rams?....NO...Sorry, but we are not. Their Offense is better than ours(They play a different style than we do...they score). Their return game is better than ours. Compared to what their D was 2 years ago, it is much better now, and I would say slightly better than ours(mostly because the O scores often enough to give them a cushion). Our kicking game is better(Although playing them rarely comes down to a FG.exclude the SB). Their coaching staff gets the slight edge as well...

Bottom line is that they kicked the crap out of us 42-10. They out played us and out coached us. If we played the Rams 10 times we would win 2 maybe 3 games...

Sorry we just aren't there yet:(

It's really an impossible question to answer. Like Ice said, we have to wait until the regular season to see who is the better team.

Look at it this way, if they lose one player...Kurt Warner, they are finished.

Don't get me wrong...I know what you are saying, But if we beat the Rams...I don't want it to be like If Warner was out...Thats just a crutch for them to lean on...I'd like to think we would beat them with their best players...

The Rams' offense is GREAT, and it's clear to me that the only reason they lost the Super Bowl was because Martz was too stubborn with the pass; if Martz had ran the ball more, I think the Rams would have easily won the Super Bowl.

I believe that our defense is, when completely healthy, better than theirs, however.

I would love to beat the Rams in the upcoming Super Bowl.

I love the Dolphins, and think the Rams are only so-so. BUT how can we talk about being better than the Rams at this point of our season. What happened last time we played them? Last year we lost a wild card game to a average team, they made it to the Super Bowl. They didn't lose much to FA either, plus all those draft picks from a year ago are 1 year older and wiser. It looks like the Rams have a better shot at the SB than anyone else. I just hope it is us who can be in the game to pull another AFC win out.

Are we better? realistically, probably not. Can we beat them? Yes, if we can play OUR game, and keep them from playing theirs. If we can neutralize Faulk, and if our secondary covers the recievers tighter than condoms on porn stars... we can win.

I say, that we have a better defense, but we all know how the rams work together, we arent positive about the fins yet..... i think we could beat them, but sometimes, even if you can, it doesnt mean you do................................
