OK, all you bleeding hearts: This is not another thread for everyone to vent their anger at Randy and start calling him a "wifebeater" and such. I don't dismiss what he did either, but I have a question.

I am just wondering, are we making a mountain out of a molehill because of a domestic dispute between a married couple?

Here's why I ask this.

Go watch ESPN News. Go watch the NFL Network. Go watch any TV Station, and tell me if you see any little snippet whatsoever about the Randy McMichael situation. If it were that big of a deal, don't you think it would have made the news, being how slow of a sports time of the year this is???

(unless it's a local South Florida station, because then it would be just because he's a local player.)

I have seen NOTHING when it comes to the incident. I've watched all the news channels and no one has reported anything.

Now, compare that to last year. ESPN, ESPN News, and even out-of-Miami local stations carried the McMichael ordeal when he shoved his pregnant wife. I have seen nothing on this go-round so far.

Is it really that big of a deal? Are we overblowing this?

Dude, they just had like 5 minutes on ESPNEWS like 15 minutes ago. Then they talked about Ricky...it was some Dolphin recap thing.

That's funny, I've been watching all day to see what they say and I haven't seen anything.

I can tell you for sure that NFL Network hasn't said anything. And they always report news at the top of the show. Especially legal news.

Yes.Its a domestic spat that will soon be forgotten as training camp is opened.Couples have different ways of relating to each other. Its not our place to judge.

It's overblown because it's offseason. There's nothing else to talk about.

It was weird, I was gonna watch the end of the Bills/Phins game on classic (its on again later) and I stopped on that 4 Quarters show...I guss one quarter was about the Fins...check it out later.

You might not like it though, dude they had on was like "Ricky will show up for camp, but now the question is will he make it through the physical stuff"

I didn't know that was an issue.

I don’t think it is possible to over blow a situation like this.

 Everyone on TV is going to bash Ricky right now. Hell, I did it earlier. But now I'm warming up to the idea of his return.

Besides, it doesn't matter if he pulls his shenanigans again. We got Downtown Ronnie Brown now.

...anyway, back on subject, I still have not seen anything on McMichael. I'll have to go check out ESPN news and see what you are talking about.

Well, it shouldn't be an issue. He's 215 now, he has a good chance of being 230 or at at least 225 when TC starts. Not to mention that yoga actually might help his game.

No, seriously, it could.

I'd issue chill pills in mass quantities for this board if I had access to them. Maybe we can get Ricky to smoke everybody up, ease their minds. **snicker snicker**

I was talking about in relation to how the media has covered it. (which has been slim to none.)

I don't think so. Beating up a woman is such a despicable act that I think it just evokes alot of emotion from people. Also, he is one of the most beloved players on the team so there is the alot of disappointment there too. I think Randy needs to be in an alcohol program.

I'm not trying to overblow this issue, but I don't understand how a so called leader of this team, who is going into a contract year, and who is playing under a new coach trying to revive a once great franchise, goes out in public gets drunk and whatever the real story is, gets arrested. Defending this kind of stupidity usually only leads to more of the same.

Way to go Randy. I suggest you look up the word, "disposable".

Yes, he needs to be in an alcohol program. That is clearly the catalyst of his marital problems.

On the other hand, we don't know if he "beat up" his wife. From the sounds of the report, she was just as much a culpurit and if Randy really wanted to hurt her, he could have done so. But he didn't.

Now, I'm not saying I approve (far from it, he's stupid if you ask me) of what he did, I'm just waiting till more facts come to light.
