I'm new to this forum and just been reading things back and fourth for a couple of weeks now. I think it's pretty shocking at what some of the people say on this forum to thinking they know it all. One thing I wanted to bring up was the QB position.
Pennington was a solid qb and won the dolphins alot of games but just wasn't a guy that was gonna win any playoff games. Him getting hurt yesterday was kind of a blessing. You can see the future and see what he brings to the table, Chad Henne. Getting thrown into the game like he did yesterday on the road I might add was kind of tough. He didn't get any help from his WR's and the dolphins play calling was stupid. You can't throw all three downs with a 2nd year QB on the road vs a "defensee pinning there ear back." He probably got minimal snaps with the first team. That being sad I think he does good vs the Bills this weekend and takes them to there first victory. He can only get better as the season goes on. Look at Sanchez and Stafford. Sanchez looked awful in the preseason throwing a pick 6 in the preseason and another pick 6 in the season. But look at him now, hes getting better and better each week. Look at Flacco better and better each week with playing time. Look at Stafford at the start of the season and look at him now. I think you guys are way to quick to judge someone off of one game. Give him some games and let him get the feel of the game. It might not be till the middle of the season till he starts clicking. But obviously the dolphins need there WRS to catch the ball even if they aren't 100 percent on target. That's just what I think. Everything I said is based of facts, look at all the other new qbs. You just need time to play and Ronnie and Ricky will help him out as well.

Good first post. Get used to it on this board. Players constantly get called out when we lose.

Like I said, the negativity that I've been seeing on this board is epic. Yeah I know, we are 0-3. Nobody is happy about that. But stop calling out single players like it is one persons fault. If you really want to blame ONE PERSON, blame Dan Henning. Play calling has been HORRID all 3 games. The Wildcat has just masked the fact that when crunch time comes, he doesn't make the calls that produce. That is a fact.

??? the Wildcat has been the only part of our offense that has produced.

play the future??? don't know about you! but when the future entered the game, thats when it got away from us. if he is the future??? we are in serious trouble!!! and as for ginn, all i have to say is if people defend this guy after yesterday, wow!!!

This is a good quote for many reasons. The point I agree most with, however, is that Henne came into a tough situation on the road. Let’s not forget he made some nice completions before CHECKING DOWN and making a mistake.
I’d like to see a few more games before I damn the season. That’s just me though…

His only long completions came from the WR's getting YAC.

Henne did not exceed expectations, but he met my expectation for the situation. He has zip on the ball, and Bess had more time to maximize yardage after the catch. The pick 6 is a lesson every QB has to learn. Do no throw back across the field unless there is huge separation. I want to see how he does with a week to prepare.

When you're looking at a young QB, completions don't need to be long to be good. If he's reading coverages in the middle of the field, he's doing fine - that's the tough part of a defense to read. The short/intermediate throws are actually tougher to make in terms of the cerebral aspect of the position. The long throws are often a more physical battle between the WR and DB.

He made one mistake when he checked down, but if he's putting the ball in his receivers hands and they're breaking tackles - I'll take that, won't you?

Are you saying that he has to hit long passes for his performance to be considered succesful? I seem to remember another QB from Michigan who plays in the AFC East who has been criticized a lot for "not going downfield" until he got a LEGITIMATE deep threat in Randy Moss.

We move the ball pretty well when our backs arent against the wall trying to play catch up.. That does not change the stance that Ginn is easily the worse offensive starter we have.. The passing defense, well I aside from missed tackles, I think it has more to do with the horrocious playcalling than talent, aside from crowder that is, he is a no talent ***clown. He never had talent and he never will

Sanchez had a bad half against the Ravens in preseason, but he rebounded in that same game. He has not looked 'awful', just the opposite he's played incredibly well every time he's taken the field.

Henne will play better I have no doubts about that. He has never shown the kind of talent and poise that Sanchez exudes in any of his outings to date though.

I hope they leave him in for the remainder of the year. He needs as much playing time as he can get.

Absolutely. but there's no way that Henne will be nearly as efficient, accurate or successful as Penny in running that type of offense. Not a chance.

Sanchez also has an incredible defense right now to back him up and instill confidence in the team. We don't have that, not even close.
