How do you guys feel about Culpepper at QB?

I'm so glad we got a QB that has a strong arm. This is the guy I wanted since I knew he was avaliable. I like Brees but his arm strength is the only thing that bothered me that and wondering how strong would it be after the injury knowing it wasn't that strong to begin with.
With Brees I was afraid how it would effect our running game without the threat of going deep and stretching the field.
I think just with Culpepper the bigger threat to go deep is gonna help our offense.

I'm happy with him. I was a Brees fan, but after thinking about it, rather have a QB with a bum knee than a qb with a NOODLE for an arm.

i think everyone is going to be happy with him.
he's the first pro bowl QB that we have had since Mr. Marino.

there were 3 options this year at the QB position.
Dante, Drew or a Draft Rookie QB.
only a second round pick for dante is a steal.
drew wanted too much $$$.
rookie QB that is unproven is too much of a risk while we have this talent.

i applaud saban for his efforts.

Yes, I am extremely happy.

I was one of the minority on this board that preferred Culpepper over Brees.

I believe we will win a superbowl/superbowls in the near future, I believe we will be serious contender to host Superbowl 41.

I believe in 10 to 15 years, the Miami Dolphins will see their 3rd QB inducted into footballs hall of fame, number #11 will join number #12 and number #13 in Canton......notice the trend?

I think no matter who you liked brees or pepper, I think it's easy to see the greater good in this and realize that nick saban has improved this team significantly

I was thinking we'd get Brees a few days ago. I said then, either one would be fine with me. Brees didn't work out.... Daunte is a very talented QB...... I thought we'd get Brees, we didn't but yes, i'm happy.

Wasnt my first choice, but thats like picking between your top 5 favorite meals. Doesnt really matter which one you end up with, you cant help but be happy with it.

I can't be happy about Culpepper. Forget the stats that everyone's throwing around. I watched almost all the Vikings games and the only time Culpepper got states was after the battle was over. Great fourt quarter stats - gaining meaningless yards and scoring meaningless TD's when the game was out of reach - or wasting time with dink passes behind the line of scrimmage and using up all the clock.

I watched him play lousy in the first half - when he was afraid to throw the ball downfield, when his O-Line did a great job of giving him tons of time. Watching him throw bad passes and get picked regualarly, and watching him fumble.

The good news is that Frerotte is released, Now let's get a quarterback. By the time Daunte is reday to play I'm hoping we have someone else doing the job.

I think it's great if we can get Vanderjagt - that way Daunte will have a drinking buddy for his boat parties.:dolphins:

I'm Very Happy. I Think Nick Has This Team In The Right Direction..
A Lot Of Free Agents Are Looking At The Phins As A Team On The Rise!!!

Now that he's passed his physical, I am very happy. My biggest worry was that he'd fail it and we'd have lost out on him AND Brees.

maybe you should change your team since you like watching the vikings play:sidelol: just for that you get a thumbs down

whose was the star besides him...NO-BODY, he had to do it all by himself now that he has a supporting cast he'll be a great quarterback

I couldnt be more happy with the trade. Culpepper brings hard nose running and a rocket for an arm. With Brees all I could think about was Pennington return last year from a similar injury. Culpepper, Chambers, McMichael, Brown and one more good or great WR this is goin to be fun to watch for years they are all under 30!!!!!
