I don't agree with assuming we're gonna be bad next year. We have some really good players and some really bad players and not much in between. Our bad players (and bad coaches) contribute so much to our losing that getting them out of here would be massive addition by subtraction.
When Miami had all 5 offensive line starters playing, we were a decent offense even with Philbin and Lazor. We had a really good stretch of games last year and then Albert got hurt vs Denver and the whole season fell apart. We had 2 games this year with all 5 of our starters playing and our offense kicked butt. Then, James got hurt, Fox came in and we took a huge step back.
it's pretty obvious what the main problem with our offense is. If we block some people and we can run a little bit, our offense can be great. When our line is losing the LOS, we're a top 5 worst team in the league.
As far as defense; our secondary is so far from NFL caliber it's disgusting, but that's correctable. There are guys we can get to fill these holes.
