Do not agree with the article entirely, but I understand his point. I think a balance between power and flash is what is needed.

The Dolphins have to find playmakers that will deliver big plays.
Outside of sack specialist Joey Porter, Miami didn't have a consistent dynamic playmaker last season. That was one reason a good regular-season team was bounced quickly and easily from the playoffs by a Baltimore team boasting Ed Reed and Terrell Suggs and Derrick Mason.
NFL playoff victories, you see, don't rise from the dust of 4-yard runs anymore. Those victories come in lightning-bolt strikes that start from anywhere on the field and end up on SportsCenter.
Don't believe it?

it's not a matter of identifying them, it's a matter of develloping them and turn all the potential and talent they've got, to concrete dominating performances on sundays

just to name a few, ted ginn, davone bess, anthony fasano, vontae davis, sean smith, kendall langford, phil merling, pat white, matt roth, paul soliai and the list goes on and on...

those guys have their best football years ahead of them, it's just a matter of helping them get there

Wait armando says the dolphins need Players to make big plays???! omg..
Pretty sure.. Ronnie Brown had a Big Game, Ricky had a big game, Fasano had a big game, Martin had a Big Game.. Ted Ginn had a big game, Camarillo had a big game, Cobbs had a Big Game.. even Bess had a Few nice plays,

ummm... i think the word he should be looking for is Consistant play makers.. Because the dolphins have them

The Miami Herald has to find writers that will deliver big stories.
