They were talking about Lavar on Sirius this morning, and Carl Banks said that if Lavar winds up playing for Saban he would be as good as Ray Lewis, if he winds up playing for Coughlin then he would be no better then what he has been. It's amazing the amount of respect that Saban already has around the league.

hopefully Lavar hears that

i just hope we get the bigger harrington and dont even take a chance on little harrington. We need to get him signed before someone steps up to the plate and takes a big chance on this guy. And as for Joey harringgton, im praying he forgets about us

Agree. Im kinda tired of waiting. I hope he doesn't end up like brees even tho i wanted culpepper more. I think Lavar's signing would definately make us a top 5 team.

yea i agree lavar signing would be huge..just the thought of having ZT CC and LA all lined up together complemented with SH would be awesome to see we would have the number 1 rush deffense in the league

Nick Saban was Carl Banks' defensive coordinator at Michigan State way back in the early 80s, and Carl Banks has said on numerous occasions how good a coach he thought he was. So in Carl Banks' case he has been a Saban fan for over 20 years already:)

Second, the system he runs is extremely player-friendly. His schemes put players in position to make plays  something that sounds so simple but isn’t accomplished as often as it should be in today’s NFL.
And the players appreciate the fact that Saban is working in their best interests. When offensive coordinator Scott Linehan and defensive coordinator Richard Smith left this offseason for new jobs, Saban didn’t hesitate to emphasize that the Dolphins’ offensive and defensive schemes, along with the terminology, would basically stay the same.

They also did an interview with Ernie Sims and he said he would love to play for Saban.
