I would love to land LaVar...I think that he'll certainly be playing, somewhere, with a chip on his shoulder. He reminds me of one of my favorite Dolphins of all-time...Bryan Cox.

Anyone else see the similarities?

Not really; sorry. Cox brought it 100% every time he was on the field. From what I've read that wasn't alway the case with Arrington in Washington-supposedly he was benched because of a lack of effort at times. Nonetheless, if we sign him of course I hope he does well.

Cox was great! I really hated losing him....still have a picture of his "two-gun" salute to the fans of Buffalo on my desktop. Great way to start the day!:D

Exactly. Comparing Arrington to Cox is a slap in the face to Bryan Cox. Cox left it out on the firld every single game. Until Arrington can prove he can do that he is not in the same class as Bryan Cox.

Any chance you can email that picture to me.. jguelich@shaw.ca

That was great when he did that. I hate Buffalo so much and Cox's hatred towards them always came though.

Fact of the matter is Arrington didn't want to be in Washington! He wasn't going to go out there and kill himself for a team that he felt was mistreating him. I think we would see 100% out of LA if we get him on this team because we will cater to his strength instead of trying to make him a player he's not. Arrington is a ball sniffing bone crusher, not a oversized CB like the Skins wanted him to be.

lets hope we build the L.B. position thru the draft. This draft is deep with good L.B.'s and we wont have to overpay and hurt our cap #. Besides arrington is plagued by the injury bug as well.

Well said. The Skins screwed this guy. He got a bad rap out there. On any other team, if he stays healthy, honestly, he would be in the voting for Def. Player of the Year, every year. Not exagerrating... Dude's that good.

LaVar would look good in a Dolphin uniform.
Maybe he will flip-off the Buffalo Bills crowd ( ala B.Cox).

John Offerdahl, Zach Thomas are the best LBs Miami has ever had.
Cox was good, I respect that, but NOT in the class of Zach or John.

We need to land this guy asap, money really shouldnt be an option for the talent he has unless it makes us flat broke..

I dont agree either. I remember watching him play and it was pure intensity and hatred of the other team for all 4 quaters every Sunday. Remember we had mean jo to keep him in check

I heard differently. I think Arrington was benched not because a lack of effort or intensity, but rather because he was undiciplined in his technique. Lavar has such superior skills that he often thinks he can make plays he can't which causes him to be out of position and the defensive scheme to fail. If we could make him more disciplined than he would be unstoppable.

Arrington is the opposite of Cox.
Arrington has all the physical tools Cox never had. But Cox lived on his intensity, something Arrington has to prove
